The best part of winter golf

Wintertime is when the casuals go home. 42 degrees yesterday and I was 1 of 2 people on the course. It was awesome.

Oh yeah, short frozen grass means epic skips.

I was *THIS* close to a dirty ace with an epic skip last week.

So close. :doh:
 
It's nice when you're playing a round on packed snow (no chance of losing a disc), and the snow absorbs all the sound except your feet crunching along. I love the quiet solitude of winter.

Nobody to play through, nobody with audible music on the course, just a peaceful round.

I don't love the bitter cold, but it's great in the early winter when it's not THAT cold (say 45 degrees) and all the casual players vacate the course.
 
^yep. the cold definitely separates the weak, i love havin courses to myself.
