I laugh at the newer reviews talking about the sketchy drive in - it is so much easier now than it used to be.
What changed? I loved the drive... because this kind of road is almost normal to me. But I could see where some people might not be comfortable looking out their driver and passenger side windows so much! Only issue I ever had was on one of the last hills in. It was going to be a 50 degree day in February. But no one told the gravel road in the shade that. Tons of fun making the turn at the bottom of the still ice covered road.
Seriously, though... what may have changed about the road. (Jimb hopes for a response years later.)
