Throw a putter to help your distance driving - worst advice of all time

250'-280' range, depending on wind and elevation.

Of course, if I was having trouble throwing my putter, wouldn't you suggest I take my putter to a field and throw it, not say, a Firebird, right?

Obviously. Throwing a Firechicken wouldn't help you with form in any way other than maybe OH.

I understand this is a competative game, but stop giving people bad advice in throwing PUTTERS to help their driving distance. It's like telling people in ball golf to practice on the putting green, and that will help their Driver game.

Except for the fact that you throw disc the same way. The grip might be different but that is all. You don't hit a shot off the tee box in anyway similar to the way you hit one on the green.

It seems OP just wants to stick with driver driving=/=putter driving, thus putter driving is useless.
A connection drawn across a bridge over an ocean of testimony and endorsement without looking down.
(No, I don't post much and no, I haven't played very long-I lurk)

No. No. No. Never EVER use that analogy. It only makes you look like you don't think about what you write.

(everyone needs to stop giving Stud Muffin any sort of attention)

So, Stud Muffin. Let's say you have a 300' downhill hole with an island green. Any disc that remotely skips will send you into OB. Does driving a putter seem like bad advice now?

You throw something really fast and have it tombstone next to basket... duh!

Thank you, because that is all I am saying.

While I admit it is a very off comparison, the point is practicing with your putter helps throwing with your putter.

Nope not at all.

But telling someone to go into a field and throwing their putter will help them throw their drivers is incredibly bad advice.

Have you ever done a putter only round when parts of your game aren't quite clicking? It does in fact fix things.

^^Yay I didn't make the troll list. :|

I wholeheartedly disagree with your premise and laugh at the comical timing with which you posted this plagiarized junk thread.
