DBag Story of the Week

eh, i wouldn't ask to rifle through other people's bags. It's a bit inconsiderate, but I can see where you are coming from

true. just come right out and call them a thief. then tell him he's a bitch if he doesn't give you your disc back

i've seen more DB's at the vet and bear creek...

I had a similar situation when I first started playing Disc Golf a few years back when I landed my tee shot in the fairway and went to help my buddy look for his. We came back, and it was gone. The downside to mine is that the dbags that went through and took it claimed that "Some big Indian ran out, took it and ran off..." I'm glad you were luckier than I and got yours back... People like this really torque me off.

Ahhh, the classic " it wasn't me, it was(insert minority)" card.

I've got a better one. I was playing with a friend and he gets his disc lost in the woods. After 20 minutes of looking I have to bail because I had to get to my graduation thing for high school and he keeps looking. He never finds it, but the next morning he gets a call from a dude who says he has the disc and isn't gonna return it, and then the guy hangs up.

I had the exact same thing happen. Lost a disc in some swampy crap and couldn't find it. A guy calls 2 days later acting very nice. Then when I ask if we can meet so I can pick it up, he say no......I just called to tell you I had it and fu*k you I'm keeping it. All his buddies in the background thought it was soooooo funny. He should of just kept it and not said anything. Now I better not see someone pull that disc out of their bag!

Doesn't surprise me, especially around here. Still BS though.

The major problem is playing at Blendon. The day my friends decide that the likes of Hoover and Griggs are better will be the best day ever.

very true  so what 5/10 dx disc did he try and steal?

My Failed-dyed Archangel.

Maybe your shot rolled over there and your the pos. For the record, I would never let anyone dig threw my bag for a disc they "lost" or thought was stolen.

It already came to a rest and I had my marker next to it. If you don't want someone looking in your bag, then you probably have something to hide. Also while this doesn't relate to the character of the people, they were all 3 discers without bags.

That's rough man, although the cruelty made me laugh just a little... :wall:

Yeah, I remember when there was a thread about that earlier, and people got pretty fired up. I would never ask to reach into their bags, I just wanted to get close enough to look at their discs.

There is only one thing worse than a disc thief, and thats a basket thief. May they all rot in hell!

(And whoever walked off with one of my ltd Venoms at NPC better hope to thier god that I never see them throwing it!).

I'd set this guy up. I'd find his playing habits and what times, etc. Then I'd take an old disc I no longer wanted and cover the bottom in something nasty. Probably fecal matter. Nothing on the top though from the viewpoint of someone approaching it they have to want to pick it up. Then when he does....hand full of poopy. This plan is very intricate and has the potential for collateral damage....although I imagine that whole group deserves a good stink hand.

Last summer, 2 guys arrived at Blendon and one of them said "Free frisbee day!" I noticed them leaving after their round and the one guy had at least 10 discs (he arrived with 2), claiming that he found them. Shortly after, I had some people tell me that they thought those dudes were hiding in the woods and stealing people's discs. One guy swore he saw his land to the right of the basket on hole #2, near the fairway of #5, when he got there it was gone. Those dudes were playing #5 at the time.

That's my DBag story.

I can't believe the clowns some of guys deal with. In America no less! In Iran if you were stealing discs your hands would be removed. If I ever come to these courses I'm taking my machete. Then if they want to play with discs they're limited to freestyle. :D

I'd beat some ass

just a cautionary tale, do not post illegal revenge stories or say you are going to do anything illegal on the site. If some guy gets beat up over a $8 chunk of plastic you will get blamed and when you think about the work you are going to do to "take this guy down" remember it is just plastic. Not worth a DGCR infraction or an assault charge....unless it is CE, in that case kick is @ss :p

Nice to see someone aired out the thread. It was starting to feel a little pompous in here.

I've heard about that before. Because of the nature of the Blendon-ers we almost always keep a spotter on the blind holes.
