who is ready for the mash?!?
I think he's being a realist. :|
I lived In Genoa when Prairie Park went in, but moved away soon after that. I went back a few years later and was surprised at how many trees were gone. Same way with Campton Hills. They were both way below average to begin with, and the loss of trees really hurt them.We had a generic niner with some safety issues, then the park district cut down thirty or so trees; combination of borer casualties, damaged trees, and undesirable species. They planted replacement trees but it'll be twenty years before they're big enough to be effective, if they survive that long.
All my pestering over the last coupla years may yield a redesign to 18, they've agreed at least in theory, utilizing another 11 or 12 wooded acres in addition to the area occupied by the current course. Probably looking at minimum of two to three years on this one, if we can push it through.
I will be there the 13th to the 25th I think. Get in the night of the 13th though
Has anyone played the new 50 Acre Park yet?
I played it on sunday. Got lost after hole 12. I think some signs are missing.
Just played alder park and red fox. Two more states down. 41 to go.
