so hard you can't put it in your location on your info. heh:doh:

I'm too lazy...

I've been wanting to do a grand rapids dye for a while (went to GVSU). Saw it on a shirt a long while back. Michigan mitten holding a pistol. Hilarious.

just wanted to play around with perforated vinyl to see what the dots looked like.

I'm working on a little more jagged version of a saran-wrap dye. I just slapped the vinyl on the disc as sloppy as possible with lots of bubbles and crinkles. Only flattened a few spots where it seemed like to much was going on. Then poked tiny holes in each crinkle and bubble and submerged the disc. Hoping it comes out cool.

LOVE the basketball dye with the patterned vinyl. Awesome idea. I would say put in some thinker black lines and a "Wilson" or something across it.

Anyway here are a few I did this week.

the darth maul is swiga sweet! I don't get the dear thing... not into basket ball. I would be like WTF if I saw you pull that out on the course. Then i'd see the batman dye and be like... cooooool...

So my question is do I do some kind of background, like a marbling or do I leave the disc the way it is?

My first dye. No vinyl, just died a bright orange soft magnet black. The color came out great. BUT. I had the heat to high, causing the flight plate to shrink in turn causing a hole to tear in the center of the disc. Sorry Booter, It almost worked.

Not sure. I turned it med low until it started barely steaming, turned the heat almost all the way off and let it set for about 20 minutes. When I checked on it it was steaming a bit more than before so I took it off heat entirely for another 10 minutes and that's how it came out.

So I ran out of red, but had a little purple left to try and finish it off, looks nice like they are fighting in the snow or something. Champ Teebird.

for some reason I really like the baketball. I don't know why I thought it was a good idea. Did the perforation make the "dimples" of the ball?
Yes dimples are from perforated vinyl, Lines are freehand that's why they are not perfect. Just an idea I had since one of the courses I play has a basketball court on it. A friend and I were playing around with the idea of "how do we get bball players to cross over to dg":) I have seen a version of dg where they try to use bball basket so I came up wih this. The disc I used looked kinda dirty and had ink on the top flight plate so this kinds worked like a cover up tattoo.
