Not horrible, not great 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 6, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

Newer tee signs
Direction signs if the tee is not nearby
Decent flow

Cons:

$10 for parking, no charge for how many people are with you so cut your cost, carpool.
Re-Tire baskets, these are not horrible, but they are not that great either. Better than nothing.
Longer walk from 18 back to hole 1

Other Thoughts:

Simple, mostly family friendly course in a state park.

Most of the holes are reachable for most disc golfers.

There are only a few tree's to navigate.

Long walk between holes 4 to 5 and from hole 18 back to hole 1.

In general, this is a fun little course to throw. Just enough tree's to make some of the holes interesting. A couple of longer holes but not super long.

If the park is busy, not sure I would try playing here. Although the course does stay away from the lake shoreline where most people would be hanging out.

Would I play here again? Well, it's not a destination course, I would not go out of my way to play here again. However it would be a fun place to hang out at the lake and play a few rounds with friends.

I must note, I did ace hole #2, probably the shortest hole on the course.

Pros:

Good for all skill levels. Beginners shouldn't lose discs, or get frustrated. Good signs now. While it is a good beginner course, it does offer challenges with trees and placement of baskets. Course is usually well taken care of, being a state park.

Cons:

Some of the baskets are leaning a little. Right now, basket 8 has been taken out by a tree. There is quite a bit of walking for a beginner course, especially between holes 4 and 5

Other Thoughts:

This is one of our favorite courses in the area. It is more challenging than the course in Tahlequah, but I have no problem taking beginners to it. The first reviews were made when there were no signs, so I wanted to add one now that has been changed. The signs are very good, including ones that show you where to go next when there is a bit of walking. I don't mind walking a lot, but some of you might. There is one basket down right now, but the last time this happened, the park fixed it fairly quickly. It is an area that get flooding, and other bad weather. Finally, this interview is from an intermediate level perspective. I do not have a pro arm, but I think that it still would offer some challenges for those who do.

camp and play course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:May 25, 2015 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

1. right in the middle of campsites, so if your camping, you just walk to a tee box and play.
2. very nice layout. will not bother other campers.
3. re-tire baskets
3. short and long , trees will challenge you.
4. never busy

Cons:

very confusing finding 5,6,7,8,,no signage, just large poles and the tee boxes are wooden 2x4's buried in the ground, the 5,6,7,8 holes are in another area of the park. very easy to miss these and end up only playing 14 holes and cant figure out what happened.

Other Thoughts:

I do not think you have to pay to play...the 1st tee is right in front of park ranger station. they only charge for camping, the office rents disc, but they are only midrange Dx stuff.

Pros:

Some nice open holes for practicing your long throws. I had a great time playing this beginner course even though I could not find 5 holes till it was already time to leave.

Cons:

Course when I was there had to hole markers and very little way of finding the layout of the course. New poles were in place so that may change soon. I could not find 5 of the holes they were over in another section of park with no signs to lead the way. Would be very crowded on those 5 holes if you went during a weekend or a busy time of year.
