Pros:
I had a great time playing this course. It is a little bit longer of a course that let's you stretch your arm out a bit. There is a good variety of shots where you can throw flicks or back hand. Great baskets and easy navigation. Also, a practice basket to warm up. There is a course map at hole 1 and tee signs at each hole. I also really liked hole 7 being an island hole. It offered something different that not many other places in the area offer. 9 is a fun shot with the creek coming into play.
Cons:
No matter where you park you have a decent walk. If you park near hole 1, you have a long walk once you finish hole 9. If you park in the first parking lot by hole 9, you could start with that hole and then walk to hole 1. Hole 3 was a fun shot but you are throwing where players would be teeing off on for 4 (I do realize they have a cage to protect people). Also, I bet the house by hole 3's basket gets disc in their yard all the time with the amount of wind that is on the course.
Other Thoughts:
Great course for a quick round. Some tough shots and a few unique holes that are a lot of fun.

Other Thoughts:
A good course if you're in the neighborhood and want to get some quick easy holes in. Nothing special. Plenty of open space to get some field work in here. Half the holes are ace runs for the longer arms. Nice bridges and benches. Hard to lose a disc, but possible.

Pros:
City Disc Park plays at a church on a big piece of their land that does not seem like it is used for anything but disc golf. There is an exclusive, gravel parking lot for disc golfers, which is a nice touch.
There are concrete tees, nice tee signs, brand new Discatcher baskets and a course map near hole one. There was a lot of work and money put into the course, which is good as church courses can be done pretty poorly.
I felt the design was as good as you could make it given the land available. There are a few more technical holes and an island hole, hole 7. Any intermediate level player should play fairly well here and shoot under par. There is not enough rough or obstacles or length to really create bogey opportunities.

The middle party of the course was a bit boring, I felt. Hole 4-6 were wide open. Hole 4 and 5 are basically the same fairway just throwing from opposite directions; you never like to see that. There are little obstacles on these three holes, which is a significant amount of holes on this short 9 hole course.

Other Thoughts:
This course severely missed my expectations. It could be due to a higher rating when I found and played this course, but there really is nothing special to see here. I always appreciate the work and money put in to create a course with amenities such as the good folks at City Park Church, but due to the lack of variety in the landscape here, the course misses the mark just a tad.

The rough has a lot of thorny vines, so be careful if you need to climb in to fetch an errant disc.
Practice basket placement might be a little too close to hole 1's fairway (also makes it easy to throw to the wrong basket your first time out).

Other Thoughts:
The course plays pretty quickly thanks to the shorter overall length and generally short walks from one green to the next tee. That, combined with the decent variety out there, makes it easy to play through 2 or even 3 times in a row without really getting bored.
I would like to see some of those thorny vines cleared out from the rough a bit, especially before it really warms up and long pants are no longer an option. It would also be nice if they could paint or wrap the band of the practice basket in a different color, just to help differentiate it from the basket for Hole 1.

Friend spotted a basket off 30 before this course even got listed on this web site. However it got listed here right before I went to go play the course.
Hole one is slightly downhill with a large tree to the left of the fairway and the basket is tucked into a clearing. Reachable for most, but you have to be accurate or be in the rough.
Hole 2 is a little crazy shot. There is an old stage between you and the basket, the shot for a right handed player is to skip under the trees for the 2.
Hole 3 gives you a tight hyzer or open anhyzer around a cedar tree. Basket has a small tree near it, but it is pretty open.

Hole 5 is a wide open shot back towards 4's tee.

There is some rough on the right side of the basket, you don't want to be right to get a chance for a putt.
You could have some fun and play from #9 tee box to the practice basket.

Yes, it was a fun little course. It would be a good course to bring first timers out as most of the holes are on the shorter side but has a lot of different looking holes and shots.

Pros:
-- Makes good use of the available land.
-- There is a practice basket between holes 9 and 1 that now has a natural tee so that you can play it as a 10th hole.
-- I was told in 2018 that a pro shop would open on site once discs arrived, but when I went in June 2019, the associate pastor who spearheaded the course was off site with the youth group, and the lady in the office knew nothing about it. That building then underwent a major renovation; there is no evidence they have ever had discs for sale.
-- There is a bathroom and a water fountain inside. The building (the church rec center) is open normal-ish business hours.
-- The Innova baskets are in good shape.
-- The concrete tee pads are good and generally long enough.
-- Trash cans and benches are not at every hole, but there are plenty scattered throughout the course.
-- There is a very nice course map by tee #1.
-- As for the holes themselves, #7 looks as if it is intended as a mando island, but the tee sign still does not say so. It also has an elevated basket. No. 8 is a tunnel shot (not overly narrow, but I missed the fairway both times on my first visit) that will punish you with severe rough on either side of the fairway. Water is in play on holes 8 and 9.

-- The church staff is VERY nice. They are mostly new to the sport, but they are learning and want to make this a place where everyone can enjoy disc golf.

-- The small wooden bridge crossing the creek/ditch on No. 9 is was starting to rot, but it has been repaired.

I'm excited this course is basically in my backyard, I'll be playing it all the time. Course is suppose to be available to play 24/7!
Overall I think it's a really fun course. Every hole is a potential birdie for me which means it's probably a bit on the easy side, my best round so far was -4. It plays very quickly given the short walks from basket to next tee, and lack of disc searching required. Could probably use a trashcan between 2 and 5's tees.
Hole 1: If you can throw a mid or putter 280ft low, dead straight then you're gold!
There's a tree 1/3 of the way down the fairway just to the left. The basket is surrounded by thick trees/brush with a small maybe 10-15ft wide gap in the front. The left side seems to be the easier entry to the green as it isn't as thick. For me, a forehand anny flex with OS mid or fairway seemed to do the best. Hitting the left trees gave me a 12-20ft put under some low branches or straddle.
Hole 2: Really neat. Throwing under some trees off the tee, but over a stage that sits about 5ft up gives this a nice tight window to hit. I heard someone aced it already! I also experimented with an os driver skip off to the right but couldn't get much closer than 40ft with a big skip.
Hole 3: Big tree right in front of you, play a hyzer either side for an easy birdie, FH seemed easier but that might just be because of the reference points of a tree and fence protecting the next tee to work with. OB fence/houses on right but only comes in to play if you WTF Richard it. The basket is really close to 4's tee. There is a chain link on the left side of 4's tee that will block 99% of RHBH hyzers, but a FH or lefty hyzer that is slightly shanked/thrown low won't be stopped from hitting people on the tee.
Hole 4: Listed as 335 with a well sized shed just outside the circle guarding the front of the green from RHBH approach. Big arm can throw hyzer around, I just pump it and hope to get far enough to past the shed for a long look. FH/LHBH hyzer could work but couple low branches you gotta get under close to the green. Very slight incline.
Hole 5: Basically the reverse of hole 4, 3 trees just short and right of basket, but no low branches and very accessible green. Listed as 369 but didn't feel like it even given the slight decline.
Hole 6: Listed as 364ft but again doesn't seem that long. Tree wall+ rough on right is trouble for a shanked drive.
Hole 7: Open 250ft to island green with elevated basket. Island seems a bit larger than putting circle.

Pros:
Great new course. Easy to play. Nothing to hard or too easy as other 9 holes. Good variety super clean. I hope on a church people will not litter or drink. Great family or beginner course. No lost disc holes. Great baskets and teespads and will always be mowed.

Use address if you miss it turn around is hard. Disc course is on south side of church parking lot with 1 on south west side.
Church members came out to help with course layout. Super nice and didn't even push service. Very nice members and church people. Very welcoming.

Like the title says, very well maintained 9 hole course.

Additional course for the area is always welcomed. Great mix of shots to make for a fun 9 hole course. Recommend playing if in the area.
