Individual holes better than the course as a whole 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 20, 2018 Played the course:once

Pros:

-- Baskets are in good shape.
-- Individual holes are solid, with uphill and downhill throws through some trees. This is a lightly wooded course, but the trees are used well.
-- Tee signs are good, and show you the location of the next tee. That is good, because with all of the duplication and playing baskets multiple times, and using tees multiple times, navigation can be an issue. If you don't think to look at the next tee marked on the sign, you will spend time walking around looking for the next tee.
-- A map near hole 1.

Cons:

-- Holes overlap a LOT. If the course were ever even slightly crowded (three or more groups), you'd have problems.
-- In one instance, five holes tee from within 15 feet of each other. No. 5 (more than 400 feet) tees from about 200 feet behind No. 4's basket. A slightly errant tee shot endangers anyone putting on No. 4.

Other Thoughts:

-- 10 baskets for 18 holes means a lot of duplication. Rather than 1-9 and 10-18 playing the same basket from different tees, this course offers a random mix of playing some baskets twice in a span of three holes in some instances.
-- A sign says the course is for invited guests only. However, there is no security, and no one seemed to care that I was there playing.
-- Hole 18 (about 240 fee through trees or much longer as a RHFH) is probably the most intriguing hole on the course, but its flight path takes you through/near five tee pads.
-- A walking path winds through much of the course. I played at lunch time on a weekday, and several people were using the walking path.

Good course layout 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Aug 3, 2018 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Course is well laid out and easy to find right off of I35. Some elevation change and signage is good.

Cons:

Some holes are short and cross over others. Same tee pads and baskets are used for multiple holes.

Other Thoughts:

Signs say for employees only but no one seems to care who plays.
