Borden Park DGC 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 27, 2019 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Concrete tees and tee signs for every hole. Nice little park. Big park sign that shows course layout. Just a very fun layout.

Cons:

Very popular park so you need to check your fairways before you throw. Can get swampy after heavy rains.

Other Thoughts:

Borden Park DGC. The Eagles Nest. Rotary Disc Golf. These are all names that this course could go by but most locals/regional players just call it simply "Borden". In the realm of short putter/ace run courses... this is my absolute favorite. This course has gone through some major re-designs and changes over the years, but it still sits on its throne as my absolute favorite pitch and putt course. Almost every single hole is an ace run for disc golfers of all levels of play. If you are in Northeast TN and you want to take someone out who has never played disc golf, this is the course you need to take them to! Concrete pads, tee signs with distances, and a nice huge course sign only add to the enjoyment of this course. If you are in the area, don't miss out on this pitch and putt course. It's not going to be a challenging course that you want to tell everyone about, but I guarantee you will have fun here! There's nothing wrong with a short course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 20, 2010 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Its short, but beginner friendly. Everyone needs a place to start and this is perfect.
concrete tees, numbered posts, and available maps online for first-timers.

Cons:

For those looking for more challenge this might not be as fun. However, there are alternate tees on some course maps that definitely make it more impressive.

Biggest problem is water. Drainage is very poor and the first 3/4 holes get very squishy after a few rainy days.

Other Thoughts:

I started out on this course and still hit it up whenever I can. yea there is the bias of being a local, but the love of the sport also really cant let me give this course a bad rating. I throw around 400+, but still find this course to be the most enjoyable. If you really love and appreciate disc golf you wont be dissapointed.
