Prairie Dog Welcome 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 23, 2015 Played the course:once

Pros:

+ 2 First rate 8' by 4' course maps by tee 1 & 10.
+ Natural tee pads and Mach 1 baskets.
+ Informative tee signs give locations and distance.
+ Multiple tee locations for each hole.
+ Elevation changes on most holes.
+ Very easy to navigate.
+ Many bomber holes.
+ Park roadways and walking paths make for interesting O.B.
+ A Prairie dog welcome on hole one.

Cons:

- Some natural tees have become rough and uncomfortable to throw from. Just step to one side or the other.
- Very open with distance becoming the only challenge.
- Vacant prairie dog holes can become hazardous so take care.
- Course does not loop back during round.
- Mach 1 baskets were very hard to sink putts on. Had to change putting style to score.
- Park turf was shaggy on some holes.
- Cars driving on roadways may interrupt round at times.

Other Thoughts:

Not use to mach 1 baskets made sinking putts very difficult. With a little TLC on baskets, tees, and turf this course would rate higher. If you like airing it out you may enjoy this course. I will probably play this course again on a calm day.

Average Course - Got a Bit Boring 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 11, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

- Nicely mowed
- Great for airing out some drives
- Plenty of parking
- Decent elevation changes
- Fairly easy to navigate

Cons:

- Natural tee pads
- Mostly open and long holes (a bit boring)
- Old single chain baskets with shallow buckets

Other Thoughts:

Always nice to have a free course to play, but this one got a bit boring about 9 holes in. Not much variation, just mostly distance shots. Play if you're in town, otherwise not worth an extra drive.

Tough score, not much fun 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 19, 2014 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

From the long tee pads you get to throw as hard as you can on most holes making for some huge bombs and fun shots.
The short pads run around 285-300 average so it can still be a challenge especially in the wind.
Wind is almost always gusting here as there is no elevation and few trees on the course, makes for a good place to practice for big open courses.

Cons:

-Dirt pads
-Single chain spitters
-Not many obstacles or obstructed lines
-Walking/running path runs through course

2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Oct 1, 2011 Played the course:once

Pros:

Nice layout and flow

Cons:

Natural tee pads are pretty uneven, baskets are old with only a single set of chains, very easy for a disc to pass thru chains when putting.

Other Thoughts:

Course could be something special with new baskets as well as poured tee pads. Dual tee locations make for a great change to the same hole.
