Pros:
- Udisc Mapped
- Course map, tee signs and directional arrows make it easy to navigate the course
- Tee signs explain the hole layouts and rules well
- Built turf tee pads on the majority of pads - level turf pads on the rest
- Benches on 1/2 the holes to give your legs a break
- Course board to the left of the first tee with course information
- DISCatcher Pro Baskets
- Putting green basket for warm up
- Good mix of open and wooded holes
- Good mix of short holes and long holes (more short technical then long bomber)
- Ample parking and easy to find
- Lost and found disc box
- Garbage can by 1st tee
Cons:
- Wooded holes have uneven and stumped fairways and in some spots are lined heavily with downed trees and wood - this is much improved since my initial review and the ongoing maintenance is outstanding.
- On open holes, if you get off the fairway, the brush can be thick and easy to lose a disc
- terrain can be hard on discs
- No "clubhouse"
- No washroom facilities
Other Thoughts:
This course has seen a ton of work recently from their dedicated volunteers. If you look past the rugged nature of the course you're going to find one of the more challenging and varied courses in Nova Scotia. This is a must play course.
