Lovely Course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 12, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

Fun mid-size course that meanders through a steamy junglescape and then opens into a park environment for holes 8 and 9. Took my cousins for their first DG game and everyone had a good time. Great course for beginners and intermediate players.

Cons:

If you want to enhance the experience do yourself a favor and spray for ticks and chiggers before you head-out into the jungle portion (Holes 3-7). We all felt part of the parasite food chain by the end of the nine, but after our collective tick check and removal we decided to do it again.

Other Thoughts:

If I lived close by I would gladly play here to sharpen my DG tools.

fun park course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 19, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

Easy to navigate. Good course for beginners, or for experienced players who are vacationing with friends/family... The course is challenging enough for an intermediate player, but probably a good place for beginners to learn. Wide variety of tee shots.

Cons:

Only 9 holes. A little difficult to find the first teebox. It would benefit from an alternative set of teeboxes so that a player could go around twice & get 18 different looks.

Other Thoughts:

I was in town on a vacation last week and played this course. There hasn't been a review in a few years, so this just a heads up that the course still exists, and it's seemingly well maintained. It's a good use of the land, but it is what it is: a 9-hole course in a municipal park. It's worth playing if you're in the neighborhood.

Small town course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Apr 19, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Located in a nice city park with restrooms and waste cans nearby. It has a fun design and some challenging curves. The tees are marked and easy to find. The course is new and unfinished. It is playable and is on its way to being top notch.

Cons:

8 & 9 are down the road not too far to be a problem. Because this course is not finished, they took a quick scan to find.

Other Thoughts:

This course is worth a short drive to get to. When completed it will be one of the better in its area. The town of Laurie has some nice places to eat as well...
