Flat, Open, Well Maintained, Peaceful 18 Holes 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 30, 2020 Played the course:once

Pros:

There is a map near hole one of the entire course.

All holes have a tee sign with map and distance, concrete tee pad, and well maintained baskets.

Holes range from 130ft - 280 ft.

Perfect for advanced players to work on approach game or ace chasing, great fun for new players (you will NOT lose a disc here).

Peaceful, parking everywhere, just a well maintained nice flat park. LARGE park too!

Cons:

A peaceful round, not a challenging round.

If you didn't take a picture of the initial 18 hole map then you might get turned around.

A lot of back and forth, similar shot hole after hole. Peaceful, not exciting.

Other Thoughts:

There is a map near hole one of the entire course. I recommend taking a picture of it, because it is located across seven city 'blocks' and that way you know what order to hit the blocks in to follow the hole numbers correctly.

Definitely worth the trip, as there were still cool views of the Mississippi (although the water never comes into play).

There were signs posted saying they have an open league there too if that interests anyone.

Great for Beginners 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Nov 21, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Course is new and appears to be well maintained, concrete tee pads are nice and level, large 6"x6" posts that mark the start of each hole. Course has a nice flow from hole to hole.

Cons:

Course is really flat, a lot of the holes are similar, and the holes are not very long. There is also a lot of semi traffic on the roads that run throughout the course.

Other Thoughts:

Hole 17 had a hill right in front of the tee that made a nice challenge and added some needed variety to the course.

Good Start 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 21, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Each hole has an easy to read etched metal plaque with the hole details. The holes were well laid out and easy to find the next hole from the previous basket. Good concrete tee pads. A couple of drinking fountains along the way.

Cons:

There was a distinct lack of trash cans along the course. We found a can or bottle discarded at nearly every tee. Grass was a little long. There were also wire fences across some of the course which had to be climbed over.

Other Thoughts:

This was a fairly easy course and would be great for beginners. As the trees on the course mature some of the holes should become more challenging. When we got there there were cars parked around the building by the first hole and one was right on the first fairway. Hopefully these people will realize that course is there in future and use the parking lot 50 feet across the street.
