Pros:

-Concrete Tees
-Decent Baskets
-Course flows fine, good map
-Small, but decent signage
-Park upkeep is good, disc golf area mostly to itself
-Quick play (especially for 18)

Cons:

-Many of the same shot
-No elevation, few trees for interest
-Park taken over in August for Jamboree (makes all but 1-4 and 17-18 unplayable)
-No benches / trashcans

Other Thoughts:

Rotary Club DGC is located in the blocks of the original settlement of Prairie du Chein, WI on St. Feriole Island. The course is a back and forth within 9 blocks of this very flat area. All holes are Par 3 and in the 150 - 275' range. A few tree come into play, but all are pretty straight on shots to the baskets. Each hole has a nicely etched metal tee sign on a tall 4 X 4 post. Park upkeep is good and the pace of play is fast. No holes to really let out a boomer, but the novice will enjoy having good chance to make par. If you are into elevation, variation, complexity - this one is not for you. Look out for the Jamboree (usually in August [cancelled in 2020]) as they take over most of the park. No other courses close make this the one to play, if in the area. the repetitive nature keeps the rating down for me. I still have enjoyed my rounds here and will play again.

Pros:

Good signage, good flow... easy to navigate from hole to hole.
Concrete tee pads.
Some use of trees to make accuracy important.
If you want a fast 18, this was it... no hole longer than 275. (see cons)

Cons:

Absolutely flat. Only elevation was the man made hill in front of 17 which left only the top of the basket exposed.
Many holes seemed repetitious.
If you want at least a couple holes to bomb it, this wasn't it. (no hole longer than 275)

Other Thoughts:

Lot of room.... could go with a second pin placement better utilizing the trees.
All fences mentioned in previous reviews are gone... was easy to get from hole to hole.
Was on road trip trying to add another state to my list. This one took me an hour off my path. Eighteen holes made it worth the trip.

better than no course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 21, 2013 Played the course:once

Pros:

Brand new course, great tee pads signs for each hole, not to hard to negotiate, never checked the overall layout board and had no issues finding next hole. But sign there rt by hole 1 if needed.

Cons:

All holes are 150'-300'. Baskets are directly in front of each pad. No left to rt or verticle changes on any holes. Missed several birdies by only a foot or two.... lots of farm fence throughout layout nave to cross 2-3 times.

Other Thoughts:

Found a mini from the disc golf experience which was very cool! This course is nice for the area but not all that challenging. Great for beginers and its a course to play. But unless i was in prarrie i wouldnt bother to cross the river to play. Will pry stop next yr to see if yard upkeep has gotten better. Only way to make me want to play this is to improve the grass condtions
