Ok CC Course 2+ years

Pros:

+9 concrete tees. 8 are in good shape. The other one is cracking up and will need some work.
+9 nice baskets.
+Cool steel sign near hole 1.
+A bit of elevation. They used the inclines well to create elevated tees a few times. Hole 1 was a good starting hole with a decent drop. Hole 8 has the basket on a big slope. Hole 9's basket is built into the side of the hill.
+Decent course for college kids to learn at and still be entertained after they get a little better. It isn't super challenging but won't bore intermediate players.
+Shouldn't lose a disc here. There is some rough along the river but it's avoidable and not too bad.
+Good hole length variety. Overall not too long with most holes in the 200s to low 300s. A few potential ace run opportunities.
+A few trees to keep things interesting enough.

Cons:

-No signage beyond a hole #. Can see multiple baskets in the middle of the course a few times and it gets confusing. Once you play through once, you will see which basket is which but I messed 1 up right away.
-9 plays over/around a parking lot. It's avoidable and it helps get back to the start but it's not ideal.
-The middle holes where it's fairly flat along the river aren't too exciting. I enjoyed hole 1 and 6-8 but 2-5 weren't great. Just kind of filler holes.

Other Thoughts:

+Overall, I think that they did well with what they had to work with. A lot of disc golf courses are along rivers and that land can be pretty average. The design was decent.
+Best holes:
1- Big downhill.
6- Shorter hole but probably the tightest on the course. Easy to hit a hanging branch and not birdie.
7- basket plays on hill opposite tee.
8- basket is on ridge with uphill left and downhill right from basket.
+Fun factor was ok for me. A few decent holes but a bad stretch in the middle. I won't be back because I don't live close and there's other new (to me) courses to play. It's worth a stop if you're in the area.

Pros:

-Excellent course for a beginning-intermediate player. Enough trees/elevation to make it long/challenging enough to show you the weak points of your game, while being friendly (hard to loose discs)
-Very well maintained; the college keeps the grass mowed and in good shape
-Layout uses the space very well
-Good combination of long/short/elevated holes

Cons:

-Near a river that can flood; some low lying areas that retain water
-For a higher rated player, I would imagine that this is a very short course; not a lot of challenge in the layout either; relatively lightly wooded
-Hole 9 plays partially over the John Deere building parking lot. If you're playing during the day you may be playing over people's cars. If lot is full, I would suggest playing from the top of the stairs
