Pros:
This course is in a park that surrounds a storm water catchment pond. There are the usual city park amenities(bathrooms, water, play area), is fairly well maintained, and not too busy.
The pads are a good size(with the exception of 2, see below) and the pins have been maintained since some previous reviews, in pretty good shape.
The map you can print here is good and necessary.
This ends the pros.
Cons:
I'm going to address this as 2 separate 9s.
The Front:
Since this course uses the pond, some holes will be unplayable if there is water present. Tee 2 is underwater and just pavers, kind of, and 3 and 9 throw across it, impossible for me as I top out at 300' on a good day. The cheat grass is high enough to hide a disc and was plenty dry. had to stop and clean my socks twice.
There is a small homeless camp that was deserted during the day at pin 3 and you could see camps upstream of 1/10.
No signs. Zero. No course map or tee signs or next tee or OB. Without the course map available here it would be tough to play the front and impossible to figure out the back.
The Back: Really, there is no back. It shows holes playing in reverse order on the map but the only tee marked is 10, spray painted on the spillway concrete. All the rest are a worn spot in the grass at best, knee deep in cheat grass and guessing(tee 11) at worst. This is only a double 9 in the loosest, most charitable sense. If you don't have the map, don't bother trying as it was plenty difficult with one.
Other Thoughts:
If you're looking for a quick 9 during the day and are close, it is worth hitting. Used the area pretty well to have some challenging shots. Again, make sure to print the map here or have it on your phone or prepare to be frustrated.
If it was listed as just a 9, I would rate it a 2 or 2.5, but pretending it is a double 9 without doing the work is annoying.
