nice course 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Mar 29, 2015 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

The tee pads and baskets are in good shape. Course can be slightly challenging. Does require to shoot forehand and backhand. Not played by many people so you can move at your own pace. Does have bathrooms and water fountains. Good use of the land, very nice layout.

Cons:

There is no signage. Teepads not marked. Can get muddy for a few weeks after a good rain. Homeless people do call the course home. Pins can be moved but never are. Tough to navigate the course even with the map given on here.

Other Thoughts:

Have heard that there is going to be another nine baskets and tee pads put in. City has started to keep the park cleaner. The teepads were not numbered because the numbers will be changed after the other nine holes are put in. I will be more then happy to show anyone around the course on Saturdays or Sundays, just message me on here. It is a fun course once you learn it.

This course has promise! 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 15, 2014 Played the course:once

Pros:

Now THIS is a big course! Very long, very challenging. The course is located in a large grassy drainage ditch and the baskets line the outsides of the basin. Everything is rated as par-3, although there are some good opportunities for the course designers to throw some par-4s in there. This course was designed to kick your butt.

Cons:

It's hard to be negative about an up-and-coming course, but I should be fair. Here are the cons:
- Course is 9 baskets
- Layout is very confusing.
- Nothing, NOTHING is marked. I'm sure there used to be paint indicating the tees and directions, but it's no longer there. We found about 4 / 18 tee pads when we played and made up the rest. Find out where everything is ahead of time.

Other Thoughts:

For those playing for the first time: the first tee pad is on the grass near the playground. You then play the course counter-clockwise around the huge drainage basin. Once you play #9, the course then goes clockwise.

This course has great potential. If you live in the area, help the course designers raise funds for some tee pads!
