The Preserve at AGA Farms 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Updated: Played on:Aug 17, 2020 Played the course:2-4 times

Pros:

Update from my 7/14/2020 visit: In preparation for the 2020 Lost Valley Open, new signage has been added to every hole. These signs are very clear in offering hole layout, direction, distance, and guidance to the following tee box. Some new benches have also been added at some tee boxes. 3 of us played the Blue tees and found conditions to be excellent. A couple of holes were reconfigured for the Open which offers additional fun challenges. The tee boxes are of good quality with the pro tees being concrete (I believe) with new Astroturf on top.
The shorter tees are rubber matts. Fairway conditions were dry and well groomed. This is a mixed course with some wooded holes and some long open fairways. A couple of ponds come into play on holes 1 and 18. some basket placements were made more interesting by being elevated or tucked into tighter approaches. This a very scenic locale that was challenging enough to warrant additional visits. I felt the greens fee was fair considering that everything was extremely well maintained.

Cons:

On some holes, it's wise to stay on the fairways because pumpkin patches can really hide errant discs. Not so much a "con", just a word to the unwary.

Other Thoughts:

Corn fields, rows of Christmas trees and other planted crops line several of the fairways. It adds a bit of charm to the experience. I plan to return to this fun and beautiful course many times. Love this place!

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 6, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

Scenic, long course with a couple holes nearing 1000 feet. Good variety of difficult wooded holes and open holes that test your distance. Professionally designed course.

Cons:

Temporary tee pads were rubber, but they are currently being transitioned to turf.
