Pros:

This course is set up in a well established city park, with plenty of old trees and 18 concrete tees with signs. It is mostly flat, but has enough steering around the trees and distance is required to get those precious birdies. Holes 2 and 3 will try your skills, and a couple of distance shots will keep you on task.

This is a good course to learn the basics, but it is not very difficult. As an average player, I only shot a 61 (7 over par). I did miss a lot of putts, and had a poor short range performance, I think par of 54 should be in range of a lot of regular disc golfers. A great place to get in a round with the crew and have a good time.

Hole 2 is a long fairway with a creek running down the middle and formidable rough on either side. Approach isn't easy if you get off line from the tee. Hole 3 is the most wooded line on the course, reachable but not an easy run to the basket. 4 had a window that took a specific line to reach the pin from the tee.

Cons:

There are some fairways that can confuse the layout, especially if you don't know the map. It is good to get a screen shot before you head out there. I had some 3 and 4 wheelers rolling with the dirt bikers around hole 4 thru 8.

I played the course after some fairly heavy rain, and the conditions wern't too bad, but had a little bit of mud. The tees are concrete and serve their purpose, and the signs are enough to keep you on track, but it isn't a fool proof lap for anyone that isn't a local.

The last few holes play around the road into the park, which crosses the road and loops around the parking area. The fairways can intermingle a bit too closely for my tastes. If groups are on the course, you may have cross hole interference, and have to wait around some.

Other Thoughts:

This is a course in a nicely wooded, but compact and flat city park. There is some variety involved to put up a nice score, but it isn't a high level competition course.

I didn't shoot well, but with a few laps, an experienced player should be able to get par or better here. I made birdies on 8 and 14, had missed chances on others. Hole 6 is the dragon, over 650' and tree line on both sides of the fairway. Lack of elevation, mature but sparse trees and little water will allow solid disc golfers to own the scorecard. 2 or 3 distance holes, with few other extremities.
