Prodigy Disc Thread v2.0

They have their own equipment. I've thrown about 8 different disc's from Prodigy . Most were the D1 ad D4 in different plastics.

People who like S/DS's are gonna fall in love with the D1. Both types of plastic I threw were amazing. I'm not sure what plastic they are releasing in or if they will use both. I'd compare the plastics to Star/Champ or ESP/Z, but that comparison would be unfair to Prodigy. Keep in mind im extremely biased fan boy.

I throw around 425 with drivers and the D4 is understable, but not a roller for me. It has a great hyzer flip and a ton of glide. I refuse to make a disc comparison. My guess is for pure distance non headwind driver the D3 would be my first choice.

The top end plastic I've felt reminds me of a early CE feel. I have a D4 in this plastic that's about a year old and has been tested by some big arms and it hardly has a scratch on it. I can't wait to get my hands on a midrange or putter with this plastic blend. (assuming they use that test blend)

I could go on and on about how great I think the disc's and plastics are, but you all will see soon enough.

Got to love it when a new disc company comes in and takes the disc names of an old disc golf companies discs.

he just said it doesn't roll for him. at least that is what I took from it. and that it's a good anhyzer and hyzer flip disc. correct me if I'm wrong.

Totally agree. Had been refraining from flight reviews but this is spot on.

It sounds like they're all (potentially) ready for release, but they're staggering it. Staggering the release is the way to go, though. I know I'm more likely to buy 4 or 5 of their discs at release over a 4 month period as compared to if they dropped 8-10 discs at once.

Staggering it is smart, but I wish they would have done a DD-style stagger with one disc from each slot. That way, people who don't throw warp speeders could still give them a shot early on.

Have you tried rolling the D4? If so, how did that go?

In my normal bag I use star a Roadrunner @ 170 grams. I can throw it flat for a long cut roller, but the D4 I need to force over more to get the desired roll. For people with more power than i have its gonna make a great distance roller, or hyzer flip to turn, but I will need to break one in before it gets RR flippy.

It has a place in my bag, but again im a huge fan of Prodigy and extremely biased. The true test for me will be to see what's still in my bag after 6-8 months.

Not accidental rollers... He was asking if he tried to do any rollers on purpose with them, being understable and all.

The one slot in my bag that is up in the air is distance drivers. I've messed around with Destroyers, but the inconsistency from disc to disc is frusturating. I got a couple S-Scorpius for Christmas, but haven't really thrown them yet due to a hyperextended finger on my throwing hand.

Being as Prodigy is GA based, I have a feeling I'll be giving their drivers a shot in the bag.

... and a tidbit of info I haven't seen on here yet: Disc Stalker stamped "a couple hundred Prodigy protos" and "has been involved with Phil for a while". ... nothing super ground breaking but interesting nonetheless :)

The sword has sewed up my fast drivers for now. The rampage is also fun. I may wait for their other stuff to jump in. I still wonder about the pinnacle comparison.

that chemir website is awesome, but wouldnt innova just take the new ce plastic their to test if its xopyright infringement an sue?

How many of us are going to wait and see? And how many of us have to have the very first one? and preferably the plastic's still warm...
