How far can you drive your mid-range and putter?....im just curious to know if i fall in the average...several people i play with will throw putters or mids when im trying to bomb my driver out there...but then again, they also throw 350-425'. how far is your avg and max mid and putter drives, and how do you decide which to throw on a given hole, footage? gaps? feel?

comfortably I throw my putters around 150' to 175', although I have reached around 200'. My Buzzz about 275' average, max around 300' or so, other mids in my bag (they are old and not as capable) around 250' tops.

i'd say depends on the path needed, buzzz is great to drive with, def reachable, but some people are better aiming with a hyzer driver

so on a 280' hole would you throw the buzzz or a driver?

Good question, I think I would default to the Buzzz but it would depend on the whole. The Buzzz is crazy straight so if it required anything with a right or left dogleg I would have to throw something in the driver range (as I am lacking in anything that would fade in my mids). But I do not like to throw my drivers under 300', this is not to say I never do it though.

i'm new to the game, i will say that on a 280hole, i could be 30 short or 30 long with the buzzz, it glides too much hehe
but i would prob drive with it if straight was unobstructed
i'm just startin to throw putters for drives and i can get em 280, but my grip is sketchy and not consistant on distance or aim, usually not throwin a putter unless its less than 200, and i'll throw my buzz down to 100ish, depends on how i feel,
i'm starting to throw drivers to get the "skip ace" recently, not good technique if your lookin for low scores, but the practice pays off when you need the skip to turn a corner... i go out intentionally to throw holes diferent ways, forehand, overhand, backhand, anny, low... etc

if i was playin for a low score, i'd only be thinkin bout the safest way to play it, and for that i would say throw the buzzz

I should probably throw mids and putters more when I do drive. I can probably throw my putter 250' if I really tried and 200' without trying. The issue would be how accurate that 250' putter drive would be. I am pretty accurate up to about 220' but then I really have to focus on ripping it to get it out there further. Those 250' + drives with the putter usually come in the field. On the course I would probably switch over to a mid after about 225'. My main mid right now is a Skeeter though I am looking to pick up a Buzzz soon. I can get my Skeeter 275' with good accuracy and I would rather switch over to a driver at that point. The bottom line for use on the course is how confident I feel in the shot I am about to throw. But the general rule is throw the slowest disc that you feel comfortable throwing.

Putters around 230 feet consistantly, 250 if I am lucky. My only midrange being the Buzzz, just slightly further than that. My drives currently max out about 330 or so. With my technique of my putters and mids, you would think that I would be able to thrwo my drivers farther. Believe me I am working on that.

I don't really ever drive with my putters, I am just more comfortable throwing a midrange off the tee. However, I think i could probably get it out close to 200ft. My Buzz is my go to disc when the hole is shorter than 250ft (I think I probably max it out around there).

I've gotten in the habit of driving with mids on any holes not much longer than 300' and I'm pretty consistently cranking them out there in the 275-300' range. I don't really have a putter overstable enough to feel comfortable driving with, though I've thought about getting a Titanic for this purpose.

I would warn against getting a titanic to drive with, I have one and love it within 40' or so but I find the plastic to stiff to really get a good grip for driving.

I can throw my putters comfortably right up to around 200ft. I average like 280-290ft with my Buzzz and max out right around 300ft. The more you play with your mid-ranges the better you get with them. I suggest going out and playing a one disc round with your go to mid-range (in my case the Buzzz) and do that every so often. You really learn about the disc and you start learning how to throw it much farther while still being accurate. If your curious about the putter I throw it's currently a Soft Wizard 175g.

That's what Midnight believes in to. He swears against the Titanic from 40ft in, but he loves his Soft Magnets from like about 200ft in.

I like to drive with my putter on holes under 200' but I can put it out to about 260' if I want. I can drive my Roc to around 290' but I'd rather use a fairway driver for a hole that is 290'. I feel comfortable driving with my mids up to 275'.

i am calling bs on the 425' putter throw. you can all say that but i have seen more than enough pro tournaments and drive well over 400' myself. i have seen a putter go 500 downhill but not on flat ground.

I think he was saying they drive 350'-425' with drivers.
