[Latitude] Saint Pro

Seems that lat finally made something similar to the teebird. The stag, saint, escape, striker, and maybe a few others are great discs but eh, not really super similar to a nice slow, overstable teebird. It is just such a controllable speed and stability, looks like this will be the closest they've come but again...maybe noticeably faster. I'm sure few will mind too much if it is as overstable as a good eagle or brinster teebird though lol. Regardless this will make a lot of pro and ams happy if it comes out well.

This is the most excited I've been for a disc since the Stag. I was let down by the Stag. If this has the HSS that it is supposed to I won't be let down by it.

If we're going by wing dimensions, Saint is at 1.9cm which would be a speed 9 on the Innova scale, and Saint Pro is at 1.8cm which would be a speed 8.

I'm going off the LatDDWS scale. If the escape is a 9 then I call the saint pro a 10. I'm sure the measurements are exactly that but for me the saint pro is every bit as long as the saint and it fades forward and flexes like no other. It rips out of my hand better than anything maybe 1.8cm is just the sweet spot for my hand. The glide is very good along with forward skip. The numbers are semantics anyway it's going to depend on each individual.

New013-see above. Also maybe wait until you actually throw one then you can compare it to any speed 8 innova disc. If you can prove you throw them the equivalent I'll never call the saint pro anything but speed 8 :D

I always thought the original strikers (the snowflake variety) were pretty darn stable -> overstable and quite champ teebird-esque. I even read quotes back when they first arrived on the scene like, "If these came before the Teebird, everyone would be comparing the Teebird to the Striker and not vice-verca"

Though, I would be comparing my only snowflake striker to my only 12X Teebird, both of which I haven't thrown a ton.

I also have not thrown any other Stiker than my OS snowflake, so I can not speak to the usefulness / popularity of the mold, but I do sometimes wonder why Lat64 made a conscious effort to go away from the "snowflake" effect their machines had on the mold, (If I remember correctly it had something to do with the amount of suction used on the machine that removed the freshly molded plastic from the mold itself).. Snowflake Strikers seem to be the more sought-after variety.

Ordered my Saint Pros on dynamicdiscs.net. Since I know that they are eventually releasing gold line and moonshine, I limited myself to 2. A 167-169 white and 170-172 pink.

I limited myself as well...for the same exact reason! :hfive: I'm very excited for this disc...glad I got the weights and colors I wanted. Should have mine by Thursday! :p

I'm tempted to order but I really only like the Goldline Saints to begin with.......I may break down though. :O

Ill be picking up a few of these after work today and taking them directly to the course to test. Should be a good challenge, temps in the 50s with 10-20 mph winds. Hopefully these pass the wind test, as the escapes im currently bagging dont perform that great in the wind.

Will be looking forward to your review tonight then!:hfive:

As will I. I really like the escape a lot but it leaves something to be desired in the wind.

I'm really curious if there is room for both in the bag or if the Pro could push out my Shock.

So I picked up 175g white and a 173g pink. I went directly to the field, temperature was mid 50s and windy (10-15mph). Unfortunately a storm moved through, making everything wet and dropping the temp. I got a handful of throws in when I could feel my hands, and another handful with not much feeling. So take this review with a grain of salt. Straight out of the box, I can tell the saint pro is slower than an escape or normal saint. It looks slow in the air, but started to show more glide the more throws with it if that makes sense. If thrown with just a touch of hyzer, they flipped flat, held a lazer, then hyzered out pretty hard. However, if thrown flat, it locked on a straight line for almost the entire flight before hyzering out. Thrown with a touch of anny, it made a nice s-curve shot. I did manage a few headwind shots, and the saint pro held up very well, not showing any turn, just showing less of a fade at the end. However, this is a very small sample size (30-40 throws maybe tops). The guy I play with also had an upper 160s saint pro, he throws with a bit more power than I do, and it performed similar for him. Initial impression: it will have a spot in the bag alongside the escapes. I am very interested in how it will break in, hoping it loses the lss before losing any hss.

It's sounding like these will take the place of the stag that I have in my bag. Tonight I noticed that the stag has more turn to it the more it gets broken in (1 month of use). Right now I'm missing that stable fairway driver that can stand up to a mild headwind.

Looks like I need to stop by the DD Lewisville store before the tournaments this weekend.

Thanks for the review! For reference, would you mind sharing your power level?

Im generally throwing escapes anywhere from 350-400 on a good day. Now granted today I didnt have a lot of time to warm up and get loose, but I was still getting my escapes to hyzerflip and also get a bit of HST in the flight. These were maybe 25 foot short of my escapes on average. I can see these gaining a bit more glide once they start to season and getting closer to escape type distance.

You think there is room for a saint, escape, and saint pro, all in the same bag?
Or does it start getting a little too crowded?

This coming from a guy that carries a glide, Buzzz SS, Buzzz, wasp, and a hornet

So I guess a little overlap is ok.
