[Putters] What is your NON-putter disc for putting?

Polecat? Sometimes I'll throw finesse pancakes with an Eagle or something for funzies but I tend to use putters of some sort for all short-range needs (Summit, Ion, Polecat).

I did used to use a Skeeter for long putts back in the day.

Used to use a 180 Star Mako for this, especially long putts since I don't jump putt yet. Now I just use a soft Ion for everything.

We had personal worst shot round in storm. I putted with XXX. Putters just flew out of the hand if turned against wind. It was real endurance round. Even tree fell down on the teepad before round. I had to push it aside. Any less wind and i use putters.

hmmm.. i guess it would be a Rattler but thats still a putter... or a Zone and well thats a putter too

Putting upside down with Firebirds and the like. On super windy days when a 5' putt is scary, it is a good technique.

Agreed. I prefer an S-line Jackal for upside-down putts, but I feel like any disc could be used since they all fall out of the air pretty similarly when thrown like that. I only break it out when the wind is ridiculous (like GBO the last few years ridiculous), but it's nice to have when you can't afford to risk having a putter blown out of the basket.

Very rarely, I use a PD when the wind would otherwise send the disc flying 60 feet behind me :D

Do you ever do this? When you're either too far or in a weird spot, you don't want to use your putter, but you want to run the basket and feel pretty confident you can do it with greater reward than risk.

What disc do you use? Plastic? When? Why?

 :D

If the canopy is too low, the opening too far right of the basket, or a combination of those two - a stiff champ Banshee for a skip shot. If placed properly, it comes is for a soft enough landing. Even if it flies over the top of the basket, it's still no more than a 15' putt from there.

just picked up a SE pa4 and i must say its been great! I have used the pa4 and pa2 like crazy lately.. but this thread does kinda make me think about long range jump putts and the possibility of me using a m4 400g for long jump putts. could be very accurate!!

I'll use with my champion spider or biofuzion suspect. Both grab chains very well and I'm much better at hitting the chains from a distance with something overstable.

classic blend suspect, sticks where it lands so I can run it with great reward and little risk

This. Though, admittedly, I don't generally use putter form with it. But it is the disc I'll grab if I need to take a longer run at the basket.

I've putted in some crazy 30mph+ winds and used my Gator. Otherwise it's a Judge.
