[Axiom] MVP Axiom

Having said that. The Neutron Anode is the best putter out there. If you're not putting with one you're adding strokes to your game.

Seriously, there is hard science and facts behind MVP that can't be disputed. You could give a beginner an Anode and a Volt and they could beat most veteran players who use other discs. It's just hard for all the other companies to complete with the style and the Gyro of MVP.

My heart goes out to all you that aren't good enough players to understand or use MVP discs.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink.

Im calling BS on that.

Is this internet science or real science? You will never be able to prove that the Gyro tech makes a disc fly longer because there is no variable. You don't have that exact same mold, without the over molding, to compare it to. If MVP made a Destoyer to the exact same specs as Innova does you would be able to compare. The idea is there, i just don't think its proven fact

For me MVP seems to exaggerate bad form. That being said the Ion is my main putter but i couldn't click with their other molds. Im not saying i have great form or anything, i know it was me, not the disc. If you give a beginner a Volt and expect him to be able to beat me with my whole bag of discs you are mistaken.

Not that it matters, but the pros tend to agree with me since the large majority use firm baseline plastic putters. This includes the best pros on tour who had all last year to throw whatever they wanted, and they didn't all stick with the putters of their previous sponsors.

I would also argue that pros at every level are some of the most stubborn, superstitious headcases out there. Hell, they complain about the baskets more than we do. I'm not putting much stock in them not trying MVP because I wouldn't expect them to venture that far out of their comfort zone.

So stubborn and superstitious they abandoned their long trusted putters for a different one for one year only knowing they would have to switch again, especially when their payday was on the line?

How many pros putt with Wizards?

Last year when so many of them weren't bound to only throw their sponsor? Several. How many of those mixed bags had Ions or Anodes?

How many pros pissed away a sponsorship to throw Ions/Anodes? Nikko did for Wizards.

Fair point. But a lot of base putters are fairly interchangeable. They didn't make a huge leap to go premium plastic, from any company.

Honestly, I could care less what people throw. I throw a lot of MVP, but I putt with a Judge. I just can't buy the whole "pros do it so it's good" argument in such a niche sport. Pros are pros because they are good with anything, not just base plastic putters.

It seemed like most were at least Gateway putters of some kind. Lots of Wizards, I heard a couple were using Voodoos and some just kept their KC Aviars.

Nikko is not someone I would want as a poster boy for my discs. Have you seen him putt? Most tourney videos I watch of him he misses some easy putts and then complains about the baskets, the course, or the conditions.

I only use pros because they're not only the best putters in the game, but they're all sponsored and have access to the best runs of all plastics and still choose baseline plastic for putting. And Nikko never could adjust to Aviars and eventually just bagged Wizards while he was sponsored with Innova.

I would also argue that baseline putters (don't really need baseline here) aren't interchangeable. They all have their own unique characteristics (feel/glide/speed/fade) that make them perfect for their respective throwers. Changing the plastic to premium changes everything about the mold. I went through several putters before finding Wizards. I wouldn't be confident for a long time if I went back to Challengers, Bangers, Aviars, or Magnets.

Nikko is not someone I would want as a poster boy for my discs. Have you seen him putt?

And what company do you own?

I have seen Nikko putt, and before he switched to Innova he was one of the best putters in the game. I've personally seen him drop 125' putts with ease. I've also seen him destroy Idlewild thanks to his putting.

These claims are outrageous. Have you even lead a horse anywhere?

There is no hard science for MVP...BUT there is enough anecdotal evidence, and I have seen it myself with the MVP discs that I throw, that trying to argue it at this point is kind of silly.

For the putter debate....it's true. One of the reasons I went back to KC and JK Aviars over the Ion was because of Proton and Neutron plastic. I tried every blend...Eclipse Soft and regular, proton soft and regular, neturon and neutron soft. I liked the Ion (its so much like a BB Aviar, how could I not?) but it just got so slick. There were a few splashouts that I didn't entirely believe were my fault, as well. Now, a baseline Ion wouldn't get me back into throwing them, because Aviar.

But if they are coming out with a new disc, and it is a new OS driving putter, I would love for it to be in Neutron or Proton. Yeppers.

Sounds like you have it all figured out with 9 months experience. Tell us more......

Me thinks you take life way too seriously. Don't worry no one is pi$$ing in your toilet. You are still the hammer we are all still the nail.

Do you know who Buddy Rich is? Time does not equal understanding. Experience runs deeper than some trivial linear tick tock.

But what do I know, I just throw intro trees all day and throw the disc upside down...

Until I joined this website I thought that all disc golfers were chill, cool people :(

Also this is the worst post ever. You can't be serious. Trollolololol. Makes me not want to associate with MVP, unfortunately. But I guess if I throw MVP discs then I'll magically be able to beat veteran players.... ???

yeah when i first read it i assumed it was a joke but looking back over the thread im now not so sure... :/

MVP threads never disappoint! Cannot wait for my reverse stormtroopers!

Also the anode is clearly the best putter ever!!!
