[Discraft] Buzzz OS

For a while, I used to try cycling Buzzzes, but then I found the Meteor. I don't know why people still try to beat up Pro D Buzzzes to turn over when they could just buy a Meteor instead. I replaced my seasoned X Buzzz with a Z Meteor and didn't miss a beat. It's a great mold.

I was actually wondering about this... I currently use a pro-d buzzz for short shots (150ish and below) where I need the disc to hold an easy turn. I never really throw it at full power. Will a meteor work for those shots? Or will it fade out without power behind it?

You should be using your putter for that short of a shot.
The only problem I have had with ProD is that it will change flight too much with one good tree hit, then you have a complete different disc in your hand.

Yeah... I don't throw putters. At all. I won't explain why because no one gives a crap.

So anyway, the pro-d buzzz works very well for these shots, but I would like to find something that works similarly but has more durability. ESP Meteor? No? Too much LSS for that situation?

I don't find that to be true at all. Not even with higher speeds. I have a pro D Crush that has only changed a small bit with multiple hits.

With 5 on down, one tree hit is going to do nothing. The understable pro D Buzz I have took about a year's worth of hits to become a "completely different disc."

Oh, and no putter I know of will do what a Meteor will do when you need that kind of turn. It may be the only disc I cannot ever replace.

what about your glide?
i carried one for quite a while, and still use it for backup to my tursas.
i have a heavy one and a lighter one, i know they will have a small amount of fade sometimes, but less than my meteors (but they are still new)

To be honest, I'm not really sure. I don't use midranges within 250' or so unless there's a low ceiling. It would probably work, but I would suggest finding a putter that you like to throw. If it's the rim that bothers you, you could try a putter like the Shaman or Breaker.

a beat up ESP Meteor would do just fine. but a new one might fade out on you. been awhile since i threw ESP meteors (i like my Z better!) but i remember them on short lines fading out new.

honestly tho, if you want to get alot better fast, learn to throw putters. really, your distance with everything improves, cleaner releases, and better power management. its definitely something i need to spend my time doing after last weeks upshot meltdown.

Doesn't seem to me like burdphil was asking for help throwing putters.

Trying not to but the absolute pretentiousness on these forums are really getting to me lately.

^This. Its like when people start a new thread and asks a question that was in another thread that was abandoned two years ago. And here comes the parade of "hey you should read these threads" instead of answering perfectly OK questions.

Comet, Stingray, Fuse, and Flying Squirrel are some other good options.

But yes, a Meteor would be just fine for that role.

if you ever make your way to mn hit me up and well tour the TC and play some rounds. would make my day to see

Cant believe some of these companies are selling these for $20+ when Infinite Discs is doing it for $12.99

My disc for this is a Star Classic Roc (the Innova Pro Shop has them). It has some fade if you get it up too high, but kept fairly low it is straight.

It has lots of glide and is sometimes hard for me to range. This is one reason for the putter recommendations, but I don't approach with putters either because they're too deep. To improve ranging I throw on a hyzer line if I have room to work.
