What are the reviews on the Petros? What discs has it replaced in bags for people using it?

Jc where are you guys at on your mid development?

To me the ptero flies very much like a FD, but I like the feel of it better. I have heard other people compare it to a TL as well. For reference I am maxing out at 350' on a great day.

The Ptero has received fantastic reviews as a stable/understable Go-To
Lower power players often see a disc that flies stable with fade (DX Teebird like)
Power players are finding the Ptero to have a workable HSS that is capable of a nice hyzer flip to flat/turn and there is a enough fade to bring it out of a turn when you give it enough height.
I love throwing the Ptero on uphill drives, huge anny's and smooth woods carving lines. I'd bet you like it if you give on a go!

I have made no progress on the mids. I am awaiting word from DaveMac that the tooling guys have some time to cut our parts. I don't see it happening anytime in the near future though as Mac is busy with the overmolds and the tooling guys have projects they are consumed with.

Any idea when the Pteros will be available? I am dying to get my hands on one.

Thought they were being stamped yesterday but I guess they weren't able to get to them. Now I'm hoping next week.

Eventually I will be able to afford a stamp press and will be able to keep up with demand.

Until then.... We must wait.

So how does the Fossil and Fossil Fuel in Wizards compare to the average Wizard plastic (I know there is lots of variation in feel even within Soft, Supersoft, etc, but just try to compare to what it usually is)? I know Fuel is actually stiffer than Fossil in the Wizard for whatever reason, but how does that stiffness compare to Soft? Is Fuel closer to Medium and Fossil like Soft but more grip, these kind of things?

Fuel is on par with a rigid soft. Isn't quite "medium" amount of dinner plate
Fossil in the Wizard is like a really nice Supersoft. Firm rim but a touch of glide in the flight plate.

Both batches molded up tight nosed, flat top and beautifully gritty. They're the best run of Wizards ever IMO and I've felt a ton of Wizards. DaveMac could not have produced a disc run better for the desired plastic feel.

Super excited! Ordered two fossil wizards and two fossil fuel wizards today. Couple that with ordering two of the Freddy stamp wizards they currently list. Just take all my money.

Hey JC, question for ya. I have a first run fossil scale and an early run fossil Jeff G. Stamped Serpent. Both of which I love the feel of their plastic. Since then I have purchased 2 Rex stamped fossil scales, however they certainly don't feel as good as the FRs. They are alot more slick. Just wondering if there were any upcoming runs of scales that might be similar in feel to either a FR or that serpent coming down the pipeline. (Those Goldblum stamped fossil serpents might be the best feeling "pro" plastic out there.)

Hey man!

We've had three batches of Fossil Scales produced.

The proto run: velvety, rigid throughout
The first run: very stiff, dry blend. Rim Crack issue on some. Seasons beautifully in those that don't Crack
The second run: current stock, softer and very grippy. Lots of 165g left to be stamped

We've only had two.runs of Serpents.
Proto: eraser and Fossil
First Run: best Fossil ever. Stiff and velvety (current stock)

Hope. That helps! Feel free to Pm if you have any specific questions!

Wow, thanks for the detailed explanation. So I guess it is the FR Scales and FR Serpents that I have and love. Is there by chance a new run of 170-175 scales coming anytime soon that might be grippier than the 2nd runs?
Thanks again for the info.

Are you restocking on Raptors at the same time as the Ptero? One of my coworkers wants to get one.

In related news, I went and played with a guy I knew and watched him chuck my Raptor 500ish ft.
