I'm looking to get a disc for 1 disc rounds and I'm interested in trying out a newer released disc. With that in mind, if you had to choose one disc to play with what would it be? The only catch is it has to have been released within the past three years. I haven't tried one yet but right now I'm considering an XT Colt.

Proxy

normally I go with a Condor on one disc rounds... but you said a new disc so... I don't think I've seen anything as straight as a Proxy

I use an Opto Pure for one disc rounds. It works very well on pitch and putt courses. I haven't used it on much else but I can throw it 300 ft on a good day.

The Pure was approved in 2009.

The only discs in my bag that I would take on a one-disc round (putters or mids) that are that new are the Envy and Proxy. In all honesty, I'd rather have a Roc, so I'd choose a Legacy Ghost, in Protege plastic, please.

Once again, for most "One Disc Rounds" I choose a midrange that can putt, however, on my local pitch-and-putt, I rock a Prodigy 300 PA-2 all day. GO-TO for a putter only round. O.S. enough to drive, flat enough to putt. Thing rocks the HELL outta MVP (which I hate to say as a Michigan native) or any Trilly discs.

I can trust a PA-2 for 250' drives and DAMN solid putts all day.

Colt is a good choice for relatively short courses as it's a neutral putter that flies like a midrange. I've thrown one disc rounds with a DX Colt. For longer holes with good ground, the Colt is a fairly decent BH roller disc. I can't think of any disc that would give me a clear advantage over a Colt in a one-disc round where I need putter-approach-driver disc. I would feel just as comfortable with an Opto Pure or Roc though these are outside your criteria.

BioFuzion Truth or Gold Line Pure. I do not care that the Pure mold was approved in 2009, the Gold Line is a recent release and is a million times better than the older, softer baseline plastic.
