Who will Paige play for in 2016?

From her twitter profile......

Attempting all 50 states while touring as an Innova-sponsored professional disc golfer. I live for Spikeball, surfing, SCUBA diving, sandwiches, and science.

Oh man

Very cool. Innova swooping in for the most dominant duo in DG

I think Innova makes sense. Maybe the numbers showed them that an all-out sponsorship of the hands-down best player in the game is a better ROI than sponsoring a handful of top 10 players, and they made her a sweet offer. And it was a Destroyer she knocked that bowling pin down with, right?

Also, I believe she has a long-running relationship with Twisted Flyer, who has strong ties to Innova.

She seemed really tight with E-Mac going back to their Discraft days, DD or Innova would not surprise me.

Ok, so here's my take on it...

I'm sure she does well with prodigy, her, Will, and Jerm seemed to promote the company the most. The only moves I could see making sense are Dynamic or Innova, from a financial perspective. I don't think anybody else would pony up the dough to lure her from prodigy.

Innova already has McBeth, and if they landed Paige they'd have the most dominant male and female at the moment. It seems like the DGWT has 2 purposes. Promote their big names on a world wide level, and dominate market share on a world wide scale. Both of which I feel are necessary if you want to get a Nike or somebody big throwing money in the sport.

I personally think Innova/Discmania is ramping up to get big money invested in the sport. When it happens their names are gonna be plastered everywhere and they'll be able to ride that wave when the sport grows even more.

Jussi was in marketing prior to Discmania. Who else in the sport do you think is capable of making something big like that happen? I know a lot of you guys rag on some of his approach, but I'd bet he knows more about working relationships with the big dogs than anybody else right now.

For all any of us know a potential deal might be hinging on a dominant male AND female being on board to promote...

When she initially went with Prodigy it was a choice between DD and Prodigy. I'm guessing being a long time sponsored DD player before would have some bearing on any decision she makes.

That is like saying McBeth was "in baseball". If you are making a living off disc golf, more than likely you failed at something else.

prodigy is loosing players left and right it seems. but paige and will need to stay! they are their biggest names and prodigy would be stupid to loose either of them.

maybe prodigy looses some players and can shift more focus to paige and will. just my .02 she will kill it whatever she decides to throw

I don't recall who had the interview posted, but at some point he mentioned selling his ownership of a marketing company to get his disc golf businesses going.

You can call that failure if you want, but it sounds kind of like a stretch to me.

I know absolutely nothing about which company Paige will be sponsored by next year.

I do know that before she signed with Discraft, she played with an Innova/Millennium bag. That was a long time ago, but she learned to play with those molds, so a transition back to them would probably not be an issue.

It was an AWESOME article in Disc Golfer magazine. After reading that I bought another dozen DM discs, what a great company. They know where they are going!

Jussi owns an international disc golf company.

What do you do?

I troll a forum by night while working a corporate professional job by day. If I shipped a couple discs to Europe would you act like a third grader talking about his dad and say I am your hero?

Yeah but Jussi throws farther than your dad!

Wait...what's happening again?

I don't really see her leaving Prodigy. If their connection doesn't work on the inside I can only see Innova and Trilogy make good enough offers for her. Discraft doesn't seem to care too much and the rest just doesn't have the funding.
