The magnet is the single grossest feeling mold ever created. There is no reason to replicate it.

I've had a hard time describing it, but it feels so bad in my hand. That weird sloping top, and cupped out wing just make gripping it so hard.

When I used to play in MI a lot many people loved them! But why would you throw one when Discraft makes the Roach, Challenger and Focus?

unless your training for some muscle building event and need a heavier weight bag to tone up the muscles, otherwise no sense in carrying all the extras when you can just use a plaz ion.

^prolly lost all his plasma ions at HBH. Or didn't play bear.

It's such a negative experience to even pick one up.

Throwing a Magnet with a fan grip was like running a cheese grater across my palm to me.

?

That's what makes it great. My pointer finger fits perfectly in that cup. Most comfortable mold ever.

Ok Gyro people talk to me about Distance drivers. I am currently throwing a Zero G 147g Quasar that is somewhat beat in and I am about to try out a ~160g Quasar as a headwind and skip disc.

Is there a distance driver from MVP/Axiom that is OS enough to be a headwind driver and skip disc but also available in lightweights (~150g) that is not as OS?

What does Fission plastic feel like? Is it more like Neutron or Proton? I think Proton is one of my favorite premium plastics but I haven't really bonded with any of MVP/Axiom discs for one reason or another.

A photon can cover everything from OS to US with max wt proton/neutron vs 135g fission. A beat 166ish neutron or proton are great too. One thing about the MVP molds you can get the similar feel from complementary models within each speed class. Photons would be a hair slower but plenty of disc IMO for most not crushing 400'+ regularly.

Fission feels like a matte version of neutron most of the time. Some light wts I have had are a little softer and very tacky but glossy finish vs the ones you can feel the "micro bubbles".

A nitro and catalysts also pair well together for OS /slightly US max D stuff. 13 speeds with dome vs flat 11.5 speed photon class.

I am trying that right now(along with a flat Mayhem) and my results are telling me that while I can pull it off, I'd be better served with a setup using the Wave class. That, or just save the wider rimmed ones for into the wind drives only since my Waves can't do that at all.

I'm rocking P Catalyst-N Octane(soon to be), P Octane, and N nitro and I'm covering any shot from like 400-450 or so.

Yeah makes sense. The nitro was too much disc for me really but damn that thing can skip and handle headwind while not being stupid OS. The catalyst is touchy for me with too much hyzer or not enough etc but when hit right it for sure is a longer wave like disc. Both of those molds crush.. Same with vanish with a hyzer flip feels like cheating.
