I need a harder fading BeastX. I would like it to be a point or two faster than the Beast, so 2.0 or 2.1 cm wing. For reference I pair my TeeBirds with X-Preds, and this is exactly the type of relationship I want with my BeastX.

I was going to try out PDx but apparently they are made of solid gold for the time being so that will not be an option.

I am completely open to brands but no overmolds por favor.

At the same Speed 10, from less overstable to more overstable:

SL -> Orc -> Starfire

Little higher speed: Krait -> Wraith.

Little lower speed: Thunderbird -> Culverin -> Firebird.

Those are the discs I know. There are equivalents that I'm not familiar with, so others might can give more info on those...

To help guide my quest:

Orc - There are OS ones but also straight ones. I have thought about just cherry picking one but ultimately I just don't like the Orc as much as I want to.

Starfire - Never liked these at all, inconsistent, bad glide.

Krait/Wraith - Not OS enough.

I really do want a faster mold, OS molds lose distance for me as I throw flat and low. I need the extra speed to keep the same range as the Beast.

Surge? Recent runs of Z have been flat and beefy

That's what I'm talking about! Like x-pred beefy? As in decidedly OS but not FAF Crush OS? Is one particular plastic molding up more OS than others?

EDIT: You said Z...

Can't say on the X-Pred, those were before my disc golf time. They definitely are beefy but not utility beefy. Flat new run Z Surge should get you where you are going.

I threw a first run and it wasn't all that OS, kind of like an eagle. Have they changed?

I have only thrown one Icon. At least with my forehand, I'd say it was tick more overstable then the Wraiths I have thrown. There is some turn but a decent amount of fade. It kind of reminded me of a faster OLF. Not XCaliber overstable or anything.

Sounds like a Destroyer to me. Stars these days are pretty overstable so that might be more than you want. Try a GStar or Pro, preferably a pop top for a little extra stability.

That is a bit too fast, bleeds into the next distance slot.

What plastic Wraith have you thrown? I cycle Pro Wraiths as my primary driver but my Champion Wraiths have a lot more fade.

FWIW The Beast was my primary driver before the Wraith. I started throwing farther and it felt pretty natural.

DDs start out good and OS. More so in CLine. Kinda a PD2 to a destroyer thing.

I'd probably look at a champ Wraith. They are like Eagles in that the Champs don't start with much turn, but still have some carry.

I have thrown freak star wraiths with enough fade but I have never thrown a champ wraith with enough beef for what I want. Unless things have changed in the last couple years.

champ wraith. I have a 175 champ wraith that's destroyer beefy
