Jomez Productions

It wouldn't sag if it was worn properly more often than not. Backpacks are designed to be carried with both straps using both shoulders. I admit I'm guilty of the one shoulder carry too, but I try to get it on both shoulders as often as I can. It balances the load on my body and it balances the wear on the bag as well. It's all about ergonomics.

Yep, I also try to use both straps as much as possible. In addition to keeping the integrity of the bag, it certainly is a lot better on back as well.

Yeah I do think about this too. But even moreso, if my forearms are hurting already from climbing, and there are many full power forehands to be thrown, I try and pick up the bag with my left hand.

Water bottles are not an issue, I can grab either side at ease when the bag is on both shoulders.

watching R1 i almost get mad at Simon for his play on 14. .he throws away 4-5 throws. . .now in R4 he would have been on the leadcard if he just played that hole smarter

Looked at the jomez page and saw they were up to 142k subscribers, which is a big jump from pre worlds. Also Final round Front9 is up to almost 900k views?!? Did they pay for extra promotion or what since most other videos range from 70k-130k?

No, I am sure they didn't pay for that bump. They don't need to do that. But you can tell that it somehow got some sort of referral in the YouTube algorithm. Odds are that it was either setup as an autoplay behind a very popular video and they got a bunch of wash off views from that. Or it was promoted another way. You can look at how much engagement the videos get if you look at the average view time on that video vs all their other videos. If 500K of those views are less than 3 minutes, then you know it was just something random.

Regardless of what happened a few cool things.
1. A video getting to a million views just looks cool.
2. If it was a YouTube random thing, that they are somehow qualifying to get those bumps and that YouTube's algorithm is recognizing disc golf stuff.

My buddy who doesn't care about disc golf and has probably never watched it but watches all kinds of sports videos had it suggested last weekend.

We were hanging out at his place and I Saw it and was like "I didn't know you watched disc golf." and he said "I don't."

It was a cool thing.

If it was YT's algo, I wonder of any other disc golf media is getting more views. Did you guys see a bump at all?

I wonder if the PDGA paid for promotion???

I hung out with a non disc golfing friend last weekend. He recently told me Big Brother must have been listening because after we hung out, he's getting PDGA recommendations on YouTube.

^stuff like that happens all the time. Used to be creepy the first time. And nowadays it seems they are starting to be able to distinguish between golf and disc golf. Used to be I got a ton of online ads about improving my swing and whatnot...

Apparently Jomez isn't filming the USDGC now. This doesn't make sense to me. I think the USDGC videos have a good chance to get picked up by the algorithm.

Quick question. Slomezes aside, do they ever make follow flights off other shots than off the tee? Cant really remember now. Just started thinking about it when there were amazing second shots hitting the pole from 300+ft out on the GMC footage.

My understanding is that Fulcrum is going to be doing live again this year. They were talking about their plans in the chat room broadcast of GMC. And SpinTV is going to be taking care of post production. This could be a money saving measure or just a push to keep everything in house. I did hear that Jomez will be onsite and might be working on some other things? I don't know what that entails.

I want to see Slomezes from the tee.

The BigSexy coverage of Green Mountain is some of the most entertaining disc golf coverage I've ever watched. Jerm and Nate have perfected blending in just the right amount of comedic stuff without distracting from the description of the play on the course. My two highlights of the tournament coverage that have nothing to do with the play:

1) Nate using the word "fade" when talking about the finish of a disc. I know I'm being too retentive, but it bothers me when people talk about the disc "hyzering out."

2) Jerm coining "chicken digit" to refer to a forehand throw. I will be using that with my friends from now on.

Jomez wasn't invited to film the USDGC

Even more annoying is "get stable" when meaning fade.

For some reason I have an image in my head of a Follow Flight when Eagle got a 2 by skipping in a 350ish FH on his second shot on an 800ish par 4. I can't remember the specific video, but my point is I think it's happened.

Pretty sure I recall one of Paul's second shots getting follow flight treatment. One long Par 5 hole he hit cage on, just missing the albatross. Cant recall the tournament in question but seem to recall it might have been a Teebird3 shot.
