Paige Pierce To Discraft 2020

I mean they are literally made from existing mold pieces Discraft HAD. Not like...oh this mold is based off a Roc.

I've heard:

Zeus - Kong proto driver that never made production
Anax - some version of a Tsunami
Malta - Nebula
Luna - modified Roach

Sure, but that´s a nice way to do it. . "i like this disc but i want it more OS---sharper edge..more rounded edge and so on"

So if i hade to guess PP new putter will be something like a less deep and less stable Challenger SS

That's what it was...my bad. Thanks for the correction!
The Wasp and Predator were out before he switched, as far as I recall the Challenger came out right about the same time that he switched but they were already overhauling their lineup right then.

It was right after Z plastic showed up and the Z Hawks and Z Magnets flew like bricks, so getting molds that flew better in the hot new plastic probably also played a part.

The patent was also expiring so Innova had less control over putter designs; when the patent was in play Innova didn't let anyone copy the Aviar. The Challenger was really the first Aviar-copy putter and Innova couldn't block it with the patent.

AND...they signed Cam Todd and he threw all these new discs.

How one thing effected another is a mystery to me, but it probably best filed under "complicated."

Couldn't agree more.

Same here, and that goes for almost all of them. This sport is different. We're (almost) all like a family and our flying projectiles are sacred. I root for good shots, not so much for one person or another, and savor it all.

malta isnt the neb, it has a bead. its closer to a tooled wasp of some sort.

Yeah, no. It isn't that OS. I'd describe it as throwably overstable. Better BH than FH. Patterned on the Nebula that was an Ace Race mold that never saw mass production.

This is what I was basing my post off of...probably should have said "Malta - Nebulaesque."

Most disc golfers will probably be better off buying Paige designed discs vs. Paul's.

Yes 100%

But alot of young kids in our club are Paul fans and they buy his 1,9 OS disc. . and can´t really throw them
And when i tell them to try something more US . . .Paul does not have that in his line

But then again. . i don´t think a 7-13y boy will buy a "girl disc"

7-13 year old boys don't have the disposable income to buy the protos, first runs, 6x CryZtal runs, etc of all her discs. I bet the 25 and up crowd is a lot less likely to be shy about a throwing a "girls disc" if it fits their throwing style, especially for someone as well known as Paige. Shoot I'll probably buy one depending on the molds she gets.

The Luna/Roach is pretty accessible. And his signature discs (not the ones he designed) have the Buzzz and the Zone which have a place in anyone's bag.

The new logo is sweet!

This reminds me of how awful the colors were for the Titanium discs when they first came out. :gross: I recall wanting a TI Stalker but not being able to find one disc in a color that was worth purchasing. Makes me wonder if the money invested in developing Titanium caused the brief downturn at Discraft. Nice to see them back, stepping up their game. ;)
