A got a question for the forum... what discs from Innova are now very rare to find or have been discontinued? I have 2 smaller retail places near me that have some DX stuff I have never seen before.

I picked up 2 Goblins 175g each just because I know Innova does not make them anymore. A list would be greatly appreciated.

anything that says "Innova Champion Discs Inc" in a circle print is worth picking up for a good price... In my opinion.

I'm newer to disc golf, but have educated myself on alot of molds. I could name a few that I know are out of production. Goblin, Pegasus, Scorpion amongst many, many others. Some discs were never really halted on production, just released under a different name, mainly for marketing purposes. Some of these "name changes" brought along a slight change or tweek in the mold. Some discs, such as the Beast, are released under a different name(the Orc), and then the original Beast retooled and released as a Beast. Some of it can get confusing. You could probably research it by cross-referensing the "DGA list or approved discs" with the current list of molds currently being produced, found on Innova's website. Some discontinued molds are still released in CFR production, but these are more likely recent drops. I'm sure the list you're asking for is quite long

There are really a lot of discontinued Innova discs out there that have either been completely dropped or retooled and renamed. I don't know all of them, but you can look at this list of every Innova Disc ever made. Just select the manufacturer drop down box and then look at type, there are several right off the bat. ie. ace, barracuda, coupe... Hope this helps.

Discontinued Innova discs AFAIK:
Ace
Apple
Aiar small bead (OOP with an Innova stamp but sold as an Millennium Omega)
Barracuda
Birdie (the original mold is OOP, not the retool)
Bulldog (I think the name is OOP but the mold is now named the Hydra. Am I right?)
Classic Ace
Cobra Classic (Ontario or San Marino molds are OOP, WWW is the current mold)
Condor (listed as in production but I've never seen them anywhere)
Coupe
Dolphin
Gazelle (OOP or not OOP depending on Dave D's mood)
Goblin
Gopher
Gremlin (OOP but resurrected as the Discmania GM)
Griffin
Groove (j/k but it should be OOP)
Hammer
Jaguar (maybe OOP????)
Lynx
Moray
Pegasus
Phenix
Piranha
Puma
Python
Ram
Raven
Scorpion
Stingray (Ontario and San Marino molds are OOP, WWW is the current mold)

Don't forget old mold Beast, those are OOP.

I think the Eagle L is on it's way out the door, too, if stores could sell off their remaining stock.

The original Cheetah is OOP. The current mold is a retool.

I only made two comments

out of production

You also have to consider some molds are still in production but limited to certain plastics, like the cheetah is only in DX now :(

I wouldn't call the Gazelle OOP. They can only actually produce a limited number of molds at any given time (they don't have an injection molding machine for each mold) so they only produce discs based on demand. My understanding is that they sill plan on making Gazelles as needed, but they aren't needed as often as some other molds. It's not like most of the other OOP discs where they aren't planning on making them at all.

The Rancho is OOP?

has it really been that long since you came over to DGR for a visit?;)
For a couple months now all the new Rocs shipping out (DX,KC,Glow) seem to have a retooled inner rim (like the R+ but not quite as slanted) they still have the rancho tooling but also have both a weird uncomfortable grip and start out a bit less stable:thmbdown: pretty sad times
