[Question] ID a disc or ask "What is the story on this disc...?"

Okay so a friend of mine uncovered an incredibly old disc in his house this week and we have done some deducing, but could use some assistance. We have determined that it's undoubtedly an old aviar. The patent number helped there, as well as comparing it to a new star aviar I have. But it's noticeably thinner than mine and appears to have a very smaller raised, bead-like part of the wing. It's San Marino tooled, incredibly floppy and gummy, and has a stamp on it that reads "in flight" written in a circle with a cartoon sun in the middle, throwing a disc. If anyone has any kind of info on how old it may be, we are super curious! Thanks guys.

if it is super floppy it is more likely an omega than an aviar... same disc, different plastic.

I have an in flight bag that I bought my brother 15yrs ago. They sold discs with their logo too if I remember correctly. We used to drive from Holland down to kzoo just to go there.

Last time I was in East Lansing, maybe a summer or two ago, In Flight Sports was alive and doing well on Grand River. But I'm not sure they are still there, but they used to sell all things disc (as well as being a head shop and selling a nice selection of bootleg CDs).

Ok, guys. I could use some help on this one.

I recently added the disc below to my bag (front and back pictured). It is super flat and feels a lot like my KC Pro Rocs (10x and 11x). It is stiff but has a nice smooth feel to it. It is Ontario Tooled and has a PDGA stamp on it.

It is marked 'CO' and is Ontario tooled.

Any idea what the story on this disc is? I can take a profile pic if needed.

no KC...its dx....hard to tell...i think they switched to WWW. around 2005..?? so before then....the classic cobra is a san marino mold....yours is not worth much....most people dont want that stamp...and value for those would only be for the stamp.....like these are worth about $20-25 new...

That is what I thought, but I have only ever seen champ cobras. Any idea on when this would be from? Did they make cobras in KC Pro plastic? Any idea on value?

I have never seen a Cobra sell for very much. Even the originals. But what you have there is very valuable in your bag. The flat Ontario Cobras are, IMHO, great discs. I have one in my bag and a few back ups, all 180.

yeah also i forgot to add that they started writing "CO" around 2001...before that there was no letters just the weight...so i think its from 2001-2005ish..

Actually, good news for me. I don't have to risk losing a disc I could pull in funds for, and it flies great. Might pick up a few more as backups.

can someone help me with this disc. i was told it was a SE banshee. it has rancho tooling and pat#4568297

it may be a banshee but I would call it a bar stamp banshee... it also may be a gazelle.

The Innova factory store just released a TON of SE Banshees that were never in mass production and were an alternate configuration to the current Banshee:

The "SE" plastic that they describe (and from my own experience) is chalky as hell, like old school DX. I'd say you're both right in calling it an SE bar stamp Banshee...if it is, in fact, a Banshee.

this, I'm judging by that huge "shelf" before the wing tip, a side profile may help.
it's one of the two.

This is a straight lid with a thumbtrack. It is a premie weight at around 130 I believe and has the USDGC stamp on the front. I am guessing it is a Birdie, but I am not familiar with alot of old thumbtrack molds such as the Wolf, Puma or Piranha. Any help as to the mold or the year it was released would be appreciated.
