There are still Ascents out there, fwiw.

Same here. Bag is all rubber except for a Harp, Trident and Mace. Just can't bring myself to abandon those money makers at all.:\

[Vibram] Vibram bowing out of the Disc game

If you like em, buy a handful now and they will last many, many years....unless you lose them. No getting around that one. The discs last forever ...almost. I say almost because the testing is still in progress.:D;)

    Precast Concrete Pads & Anchors

You should try Laredo concrete work in the summer. Any trowel machine under 300# is a float only machine. Once the temps hit 108-110, they are useless. My machine was a 400#er that will hurt you if you let it. Toughest place I ever worked. That's why the 30 year old concrete finishers look like...

[Vibram] Vibram bowing out of the Disc game

I get more glide from my softs. I just do not get the same glide from the mediums at all. MY med Arch seems to be in between the Eagle and Teebird..of course, a lot of that could be me. My soft Arch seemed way closer to a TL. I only made a couple of throws with it, so it still needs more shaking...

    Precast Concrete Pads & Anchors

It can, but if its done right, it will be fine. Concrete cracks..that is a rule of life. Cracking doesn't necessarily mean a failure. Concrete crack failure is defined as a crack that a US nickel can be inserted into..on edge of course. Steel mesh and or rebar, on no more than 12" centers each...

    Precast Concrete Pads & Anchors

Depends on the concrete material where they were cast....but they will be close to 3k give or take 500# or so. Medium to larger Bobcats can move them easily. As long as they have at least a 2000# capacity, you will be good since their capacities are rated at 50% of their tipping load. If you...

    Precast Concrete Pads & Anchors

\ Would depend on the ground its placed in. Clays and other soil types that compact well could hold it up well if properly compacted/tamped after placement. Rocky stuff like we have here , it would wobble like there is no tomorrow. There would just about have to be. Otherwise, they could not...

Compression molding. Its the material prep that takes so long. There are a couple of videos on Youtoob that show the process. Shows why they cost so much. Making the rubber ready for use is a very involved process.

    Vibram Is Done

That would be nice, but would take either some major retooling and maybe even re-submission to the PDGA for removal of emblem since that would really change the disc OR some hefty royalties paid to Vibram for using their trademark if it stayed. Either way, whoever would be looking at a costly...

Same. Except the softy I have inbound is a 170. Lightest I could find. :\ I am actually amazed I found that one. Been looking for them and soft Ridges and Arches all year with little success.

    Vibram Is Done

I have a couple of softs on the way and am wondering/hoping they will be the same. My med is a touch US and will always finish slightly to the left RHBH.

They have changed it a bit, but the Vamp seems to be the slickest so far. No idea why. Still flies great for me though. I have shown doubters the wet weather benefit of softies. Dunk it in the creek and throw...barely any difference.

[Vibram] Vibram bowing out of the Disc game

Some get their best distance with the softs...myself included. Not too soft at all unless you are trying to force the disc. That won't ever work. They don't hardly tear up or cut up like plastic. Tough little bastages. Warp it and a bit of heat will restore it quickly to new or near new. Watched...
