Everyone has to enter their own score just like if everyone had their own paper card. It will display an alert if there are conflicting scores entered on a hole.

Just listened to his interview after his round. Not at all surprised he would be a good caddy. Seems like a really thoughtful kid and someone who would be a calming presence.
