Did not read the article, but it hurts my brain hearing commentators say "They just threw their second DRIVE from the fairway" or "It will take two great DRIVES to get near the basket".

I did not pay for this and still feel I am owed a refund. Murphy's Law is putting the hammer down on this production.

And what Biscoe mentioned being the initial reason for the rule is what I remember as well. Still to this day, I have to politely stop/correct players from backing into their stance mashing everything in their wake.

This year I have attempted to create a solution for this problem. I consider it solved and maybe other TDs can institute a similar practice.
IMO, if a player does not update their registration weeks/days out from the event after receiving emails through DGScene and being notified via FBook...
Why does the amount required to be paid to the PDGA, per player, go up in different tiered events, while the the PDGA offers the exact same level of support regardless of tier?
(I have not messaged the PDGA to ask - curious about responses here)
