Post a cool disc golf photo

I played this course in June. The pastor at the church who is spearheading the course had incredible enthusiasm, so I couldn't bring myself to write a review warning folks of what they were getting into at present. But the course as it was was more or less the least playable course I've ever...

    First Diamond Trusted Reviewer!

I wanted to give a shoutout to my brother, BigAl724, who has been sitting a stone's throw from Diamond for a while now and with his recent review of WR Jackson is some 11 thumbs up away from the 1000 mark. He's an old man with kids now so his review rate has taken a serious hit, and now that...

    Should DGCR have a Podcast

Every time my brother and I have the chance to meet up and play together, we talk endlessly about course design and ones we've played. I've often come away feeling as though it'd be fun to try and convert that to a podcast format. This post has me thinking...

    Movement in top 10

Tossing in some more praise for Silver Fox. I played it five years ago (to the week, actually), before they put the concrete tees in, and still gave it a 4.5. It's my lowest-ranked 4.5 on my list, but still in my top 25. Definitely worth a visit. I'd love to get back there and see how it's aged.

Review by Qikly in course Harcrest Park

0.50 star(s) Harcrest Park's DGC is a short, simple course that offers a quick round. The fairways and landing zones are well-defined, and were well-mowed on my visit despite being the summer. The layout is easy to follow with a good in and out. The modest elevation is used effectively to promote some...

Review by Qikly in course Ditto Farms DGC

3.50 star(s) Ditto Farms has a mix of environments and accompanying distances, with a focus on technical par 3 golf in the woods. These emblematic holes provide meaningful choices, with interesting, fair windows to hit, lines to navigate, and landing zones to find. Although there are some shortcomings, in...

Review by Qikly in course North Boundary Park - Championship

4.00 star(s) NoBo focuses on wooded conditions, dynamic elevation, and multistage holes. The land the course sits on is beautiful and prime for disc golf, providing some interesting interplay between open and wooded shots on some holes. Elevation changes constantly throw wrenches into the mix, especially in...

Review by Qikly in course Moraine State Park

5.00 star(s) Believe the Hype What a fantastic course. The thing that really sets it apart in my mind is how consistently memorable it manages to be throughout its 18 holes. Be it an interesting OB placement (hole 3, 18), a gorgeous view (the highly-regarded hole 15), an engaging angle or elevation (the...

Review by Qikly in course Amrock DGC

1.00 star(s) Amrock is the definition of a beginner-oriented course with only six holes, minimal obstacles, simple lines, and little threat of losing a disc. And yet there's some pushing against the conventions of this form: holes 3 & 5 are over 350' and hole 6 is a legitimate par 4 at 580'; a few holes have...

[MVP] MVP Disc Sports (Official Thread) (Part V)

Thanks for the rundown. I'm definitely interested in the Relay for those such finesse shots: uphill tunnel shots, fairway drives from less-than-ideal circumstances, that sort of thing. I may just pick up one to see if it fits the bill and take it from there. I am sorry to hear Inspires are OOP...

[MVP] MVP Disc Sports (Official Thread) (Part V)

Howdy y'all! Looking for some help. I'm a long-time MVP / Axiom fan who has been living off of my stash for the last few years. I've been out of the loop when it comes to recent developments in their lineup as well as online retailers. Some slots in my bag have been getting pretty thin recently...

[Wanted] Looking for Motions, Inspires, Soft VPs

Howdy DGCR Marketplace! It's been couple of years since I've had need of discs, but I've finally worked my way through some of my stash only to find my go-to online retailers are no longer in operation or as well-stocked as I'm used to. I'm hoping someone can help me out. I'm primarily looking...

Name the hardest and easiest course you have played

I've played a lot of difficult courses and could make the case for any one of a handful being the most difficult, but if I had to pick it would probably be Whippin' Post. It's been close to 7 years since I played it so my memory is foggy, but my recollection is that it is comically challenging...

List your top 5 favorite courses

An update from 2016! Which at this point feels like a million years ago. Nowadays my Top 5 courses are: 1) Harmony Bends 2) Selah Ranch - Lakeside 3) Sugaree 4) Idlewild 5) Whippin' Post So, while it's been four years and lots of stellar courses played, the Top 5 retains 3/5. Totally...

    First Diamond Trusted Reviewer!

Shoutout to my bro, who started his disc golf journey the same day I did when we walked into Moraine blissfully unaware sharing an Innova starter set between us and shot somewhere in the realm of 100. I remember thinking that it was way harder than I remembered my one round played in college...
