so recently my family has purchased 150 acres of land in jasper georgia. prior to this we had been praying for a way to start some sort of ministry. when we bought the land we had the idea of starting a camp. the camp is called camp light house and is going to have its first summer of campers the summer of 2013. it is going to be a non profit camp for kids who dont have the money or circumstances to go to a summer camp. my best friend suggested building a disc golf course and after a while we decided to do it and scrounged up the money for 9 baskets. im not sure where on the land we will be building but it will be awesome. i wanted to post to ask for advice on building/ designing courses.
*and if you would be interested in donating anything such as discs baskets or any other information it will be much appreciated!*
this was the made i made where i was told to contact you about course design. i would love to get in contact with you about the building of my course!
Working currently on several courses...
Eagle Creek in Clayton GA....expanding the 9 into a 12 hole course.
Chau Ram in Westminster, SC...have 18 Discatchers in storage. Working on design and installation.
Oconee State Park in Mountain Rest, SC...approval received now need funding.
Seneca 9...have 9 in storage and working in design.
Private Course in Clayton, GA...approval. Funding in place. Install will be in March.
Rabun County Golf Club...adding Disc Golf...waiting on date for presentation.
McCrackin in Wiley, GA...private pay to play opportunity. Loves the idea and best track of land I've ever seen for Disc Golf.
Course is short and easy. I know of an ace on 10 of the 18 holes. Most players, if you look at those already registered are playing above their ratings...which is quite common for this area.
Hey, I talked to some people from around my area and found out some details on that old "Shoe Sensation Open" disc you've got. That tournament was in 1982 at Kereiakis and I think Hobson Grove. I've seen putters from that same year too that would be the equivalent as the Hands Aviars. Just thought I'd follow up with that.
It all depends on what style card your interested in. The 4x6 waterproof/reusable cards sell wholesale for $2.25-$2.50/card.
Individual cards are $4-$4.50.
Pocket scorecards for club fundraiser/tournament sponsorship are between $1.10-$1.25 per card (min. order 50) or wholesale $1.50 per card (I've seen them retail between $2-$3)
