    Disc Golf and School

Where does your friend teach? The New England Flying disc Association has a new Educational Grant program to support equipment acquisition for educators in our catchment area. More information can be found here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B61bkyNJUp96Rk9QMlNPTU45QWs/view

    Hardest region for disc golf

I forgot to mention this one. She is going to love it and its in Central Mass: http://forums.nefa.com/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=12321 There are also several 9 holers in Eastern Mass that I mentioned before that she would like: Olin, Gordon Conwell, Scouting Woods.

    Hardest region for disc golf

Here are some recommendations for less wooded courses in New England. Mass: Barre, Gordon Conwell, Pye Brook, Olin College. CT: West Thompson, Wickham (very long), Strawberry Park. Maine: Boom Field, Pleasant Hill, Sabattus (Hawk). Good course design will add length, incorporate elevation...

Are you aware of NEFA and www.nefa.com? They are always looking for great volunteers to help grown the sport in New England.

Johnny is right! VT golf is awesome and when you combine it with everything else VT is awesome at it makes for a great trip. Johnny's course is great. The one he is referring to is great. The best is Brewster Ridge at Smuggler's Notch. The New England Disc Golf Championships are in VT this...

    Courses you don't play because...

WWI Park in North Attleboro has 9 holes in with another 9 to follow soon. There are also proposals in Easton, Middleboro, Lakeville, Boston, Norwood, Somerset, and Hingham so hopefully a few of these will get in over the next couple of years.

    Best discs you've found

Shortly after the Maple Hill Open this year I found a 28 year old Aviar on the fairway of 12. While it is cool disc I really wish it had a name and number on it so it could go home.

Destination cities for quality AND quantity?

I was thinking the same thing. Augusta Maine and Worcester, numbers 5 and 8 on this awesome list, are 3 hours apart. New England golf rules.

    Courses you don't play because...

The Borderland Billy Goats had a practice. I try to avoid Borderland on the weekends when it is over 50 degrees and I'm teeing off after 9am. It's just to busy. I'd rather drive longer and pay to play Maple Hill. The good news is that there are brand new courses in the area and more on the...

    Boston disc course?

Thanks for the offer Highway Bill. I think we are only going to get one shot at this no matter where it is so having a great design for multiple abilities is going to be key. A couple of weeks ago I played Lufbery Park in Wallingford CT. The terrain and topography reminded me a lot of the...

    Boston disc course?

Boston needs a course and Franklin Park would be amazing. I live just a few houses away from it and know it very well. But I think you are off on believing the city with "go for it." After a lot of consideration and conversations I don't think that Franklin Park should be the target. There...

    Maine Event?

Sabattus isn't ever far out of the way and you are likely to have your jaw drop at how well it is kept. When I took a friend there for the first time he remarked it was like the Disney World of disc golf. And that was just when we pulled in. Troll Valley is out of the way but worth every mile...
