Another vote for Squall. When I first started I made the mistake of throwing whatever disc was the fastest because it had to go the farthest. Forums helped me correct this, and the Squall was the first mid I used that outperformed all of my other discs right out of the box.

If you are worried about your current dx teebird because your course is "wooded", why don't you just stop hitting trees? You can have two dx teebirds for the price of river as well.
I don't usually run into another group anytime I play any of the Highbridge courses. Mont du Lac was empty when I played this summer, and I don't think Zobel gets a lot of play, but it should.

Same as most I suppose, but I throw both. I started with GL, and bought a few opto for stability. If I had to keep just one in my bag, it'd be the 167g white GL. That things works magic.
