I am a gold level pro disc golfer, who loves to travel to tournaments, play different courses, and enjoy the different challenges. I am also very interested in course design and have designed/helped with several courses in my area. I try to write fair reviews and give accurate assessments of my experiences on each course that I have played. My goal in each review is to give the reader an idea of what to expect when they are planning to play a course for the first time, so that they are able to pick and play a course that best suits their preferences.
I try to mention all the pros and cons (amenities, etc.) I can think of when writing a review, but I do not always rate the course based on these factors, so just because I mention something doesn't mean I put a lot of weight on it. Course design, course maintenance, tee pads and fun factor matter the most to me when it comes to rating the course. If any course updates are done after I've written a review, I absolutely welcome any comments and corrections so that my review can be as accurate as possible. I will write more reviews as I get free time.
No. I didn't make it through MS. I had some pretty lousy weather the weekend I drove through, so I took a more direct route into texas. If you're ever in Houston though, hit me up and we'll throw discs then.
I'm moving to Houston TX. Need to be there by valentines day, and am planning on playing this course early Friday morning. I'm super excited. How long do you think it will take me to get around? Do you want to play with me?
Me and my friends (all of DGCR- zmann44, rutegar79, and brattenj) are planning a 4 day trip in March to Mississippi and Alabama. We are starting in Memphis-then Tupelo, Birmingham, and Huntsville. All of your posts have been extremely helpful. If you have any advice as to which courses along that route are a must play and which ones we should avoid, we would definitely appreciate it. We only want to play the best. We don't mind shorter courses, we just don't want to play sucky courses!
