Passable to learn 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Jan 11, 2021 Played the course:once

Pros:

6 baskets 3 signs. You can make it up as you go. Good if you are teaching someone how to play a slight elevation change

Cons:

Missing basket missing signs park with lots of play ground on holes

Other Thoughts:

Dont go out of your way but if you are in town teaching someone this is a good way

oh well 2+ years

Reviewed: Played on:Feb 26, 2019 Played the course:once

Pros:

Has 6 baskets
nice park with lots of large trees

Cons:

Poor course condition
poor course design

Other Thoughts:

I was not expecting too much, thought it was going to be just a little 6 hole pitch and putt course.

Well, it appears that the course was poorly designed and has been forgotten.

Most of the tee signs are missing, except for hole 2, where the basket is missing.

Holes 8 and 9 have also been removed.

A new splash pad was put in where basket 9 was and hole 1 was throwing over the pad, probably why that tee sign is missing.

Hole 2 has you throwing around a tennis court, however that basket is gone. Probably too many people throwing over the tennis court.

Hole 3 actually has a tee sign and basket and is a decent hole.

Then you have hole 4, the main line goes over playground equipment

Hole 5 throws down a walking path with a street to your right.

Hole 6 throws back down to the "bowl" of the park, this is actually another decent hole

Hole 7 throws back up the hill towards picnic tables.

then hole 8 would have been a decent longest hole on the course, but no tee or basket.

Hole 9 threw up to where that splash pad is now

In general, there are some good holes, the 3 to 7 are decent holes.

Would I play here again? NOPE, not worth it, go play the Oklahoma Baptist course just a few miles away, much better course that is marked and playable.

To be or not to be... a disc golf course? 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 15, 2017 Played the course:once

Pros:

-good quality baskets
-nice little park that's obviously well-utilized by local folks
-some of the golf shots are decent, and the trees/baskets would make for some high-quality practice as long as the park isn't too busy

Cons:

-missing some baskets
-course flow not entirely clear
-some previous hole placements have been made obsolete by new park features (e.g. fenced-in courts)

Other Thoughts:

I appreciate jimbo's review giving some insight. You can tell the park is well-used (often crowded and probably continuing to develop). That's usually a plus, but it's not particularly good for the disc golf course here, as it means you're likely to have folks on multiple fairways. I was there fairly early in the morning on a summer week day, and the splash pad was already busy. I recall only 6 baskets, and fewer tees (one of which was still pointing to a missing basket).

Its baskets are certainly much better than courses I'd typically give such a low rating to. I considered giving a 1.0, but the hole layout needs some rearrangement given newer park features. It might be improved upon by moving some baskets/tees away from the splash pad and using some of the less crowded area of the already small park.

Just a few Baskets in a decent park... 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jun 3, 2017 Played the course:5+ times

Pros:

Good Baskets... Grass well maintained.. Never ever lose a disc... A few decent lines... This course has never been great. In fact it's never even been a real course.. At one point there was actually 9 baskets but 3 tee boxes and 1 sign.. A friend and I went out one weekend a few years ago and mapped lines, painted trees and tried to make it a real course.. But more and more baskets disappeared and Now it's a fun little park with a splashpad for the kids that you can get some putt/mid practice in....

Cons:

As long as you know it's just a park with a few baskets it's great....

Decent baskets 2+ years drive by

Reviewed: Played on:Jul 19, 2016 Played the course:once

Pros:

+the baskets are nice Mach 5s
+grass is maintained well
+fair amount of shade

Cons:

-only 6 baskets
-tee boxes hard to locate on most holes
-park equipment on the fairways

Other Thoughts:

This "course" is little more than a practice area. Basket 2 is missing.
It's an okay place to practice, if there is no one else using the park that is---there's a playground in the middle of the park that errant throws can easily hit.

Really not worth going out of your way for.
