i like to throw mids for more control because they don't fade as hard as a typical driver will. plus a mid won't skip as far as the driver, but i suppose you can account for the harder fade and longer skip. i think that if i work on my form with midranges (less oat) that it will improve my...
i keep atleast 3 spiders, 3 classic rocs, a buzz and a mako. all are at different stages of wear and different plastics. i use mids for pretty much anything under 300 ft and if there is a direct route i might use it for a 320 ft hole.
that would be great dude. I still don't know which day I'll go but let me know if you have a preference. I'm not sure yet if I'll have to reserve a rental car or borrow my brother in law's car. I'll know more this weekend and we can hash out the details.
Hey discin dudes and lady dudes. I'll be in Sacramento for about a week around christmas. This trip is mainly for spending time with family but that doesn't mean that I can't pull away from the folks for a day of golf. I spent time in sac town last summer and played john mackey, rocklin and...
thanks apdrvya. first run dx is good enough for me. i had never seen any other spider like it. i love the dx ones because they have much more glide than the champ and star that tend to fly like a brick.
hey there's no bubble to burst. i was never planning on selling these. they're essential to my game. haha. i really just wanted to know if the one without the graphic is a special edition or something cool like that.
i'd like to get some info on my last purchase. its the spider with just the bar stamp. its flat topped and feeld like its made from a stiff r pro plastic. is this a special blend or like a prototype spider? i just know it was a steal for $7.
my glo destroyer was my go to max d headwind disc till i lost it. Super durable and stable. I tried throwing my buddies regular champ destroyer and its just not the same. the glo champ is much straighter and better in a headwind. plus its the first disc i've thrown 600ft haha. i miss that thing
Thanks for the great advice dude. I think i'll pack 3 or 4 courses into a day. Warm up at john mackey then head to Grass valley/Penn Valley/Auburn.:p afterwards i'll definitely need a brew and some good food.
i just wanted to update you all. I had a blast at orangevale last saturday. I played doubles in the morning then drove to rocklin for a round. there was still plenty of daylight so i went back to orangevale and played 27 holes with a few people. It was great. They recommended that i play john...
i don't have multiple aces on a single disc but i knew a dude who had 6 aces on classic roc and i was around to see two of the 6. I also watched it ricochet off a tree into a lake.
i called final 9 and the saturday doubles start at 10. I'll hit the doubles up and afterwards probably go to rocklin if anyone's interested. I was going to go to auburn's doubles but i'll save that course for another day.
From your description i'd like penn valley. i love the challenge of finding odd routes to take from the tee. it makes for an interesting round. that really sucks about the security guards at shady oaks. i'm not really a smoker but at times i enjoy puffing on a black n mild. what time do...
i don't what run of hurricane i have but i love mine. its great for max d in windy conditions. also benfts got it right by saying it flies like a destroyer. when thrown at full speed it turns slightly to the right.
yrnmbrsup already PMed me. on another note, has anyone played the saturday doubles at auburn? i'm wondering if they're super busy cuz i'm trying to plan out my day. Some of the st louis leagues are like mini-tournaments with almost 70 players on the field.
