Nice Near Ace on film - short hole 135' but very tight and slightly uphill. (Austin Ridge Bible Church DG Course #7)

2nd blast through the chains in a few months, I guess that's the good news. Bad news is this disc just won't settle in the...

Thanks for taking the time tmahan to do your part for the Disc Golf community in Austin and in general. We're going to do our best to highlight some of the great erosion measures we put into place (see Circle C renovation) and we're going to get bodies to the various public meetings on the...
Agree with everything. Even if you hate Pease Park Disc Golf Course, this type of action by the city sets a dangerous precedent that the DG community needs to get out in front of and get ready for.
It could be any city in the country, it could be any park that has had DG there for 25+ years...
Do you work for the city? ;)
"developing another park to replace the course at Pease" is Austin Park Director's recent argument which is why I ask.
Truth is the "replacement" course is needed just to keep up with growth of the sport and Austin area population - And we're excited about the new...
Disc Golf Course Review Community,
I would like to appeal to you for your help in saving one of Austin, TX.'s oldest disc golf courses - Pease Park. I am not asking for much and I'd do the same for your if you were losing your home course. Please help send a message to the heads of our City...
Katana is pretty understable, but I do see a lot of extra D when I get a hold of it. It's not something I would even think about in a head wind, but in a tail wind, sure.
I'm able to throw it flat and it will do a nice long S turn. It's fast as anything I've thrown. I find that I go to it over...
I was out there last weekend. Played both courses without seeing another group. The courses are in tournament shape, wildflowers and water are pumping. Waterfall is as nice as it's ever been. Springs in many places including on meadow hole #10.
I would suggest starting on the hill then...
I was out there last weekend. Played both courses without seeing anyone. The course is in great shape, wildflowers and water is pumping. Waterfall is as nice as it's ever been.
I would suggest starting on the hill then finishing on the meadow just do to the wind. You'll get plenty in the...
Throw your most overstable disc in a head wind, your most understable disc in a tail wind.
Throw more overstable putter in wind- or replace putter with mid in blustery conditions. Keep putt down in headwind, add a little height to putts in a tail wind.
Some advice I was given and use regularly.
Wow, I am blown away by the new Star Katana. I went with the 175g and first throw off the shelf, I out-drove my longest drive at Pease Park #1 by 40 feet. Had a easy layup and gimmie putt for 3. I stepped off the distance and walked 130 steps, so almost 400, brand new - right down the middle...
Get the T-Bird, it will eventually wear down and fly like a TL. In the mean time you get a very accurate, straight flying disc with a slow fade at the end. Less chance of flipping into the trees.
Just my .02
I think it has to do with the surface area of the disc that makes contact with air when flying, especially the dome or lack of dome and the rim of the disc. Beads can also be added to give additional surface area of the disc to catch the air/fight against the air. The sharpness or bluntness of...
