I once had a "big arm" and was throwing 500-525' with a lack in consistency, but ended up having rotator cuff surgery and lost 150' in distance. My best friend thought I was lying when I went to visit and he could easily drive 50-75' past me. I now do not worry about the big drives as 400' with...
I was going to ask if the Mako3 and SOL overlapped. Seems like you figured that out already though. I am a fan of manipulating less stable discs to hit lines. They can produce some of the prettiest shots. Your bag overall looks solid though. Do you ever find yourself trying to hit a line and not...
Per the "PDGA Approved Disc Golf Discs" page I found the information I was looking for. Here are the disc dimensions from the original Cloud Breaker to the retested DD3. I also added the DDX and PD2 to show the similarities between them and the DD3 retest as well:
Cloud Breaker
Max Weight...
Was there a change to the wing on the DD3? I saw an original "Cloud Breaker" rim depth of 1.2 and recently saw an updated "DD3" rim depth of 1.1. In comparison a PD2 is 1.2 and a DDX is 1.1. That slight difference is enough for me to not really enjoy the DDX as much.
Has anyone compared these to the Kong yet? Are they similar at all? I have yet to throw a DD3, but I have thrown a Kong. Also, is the mold going to change at all for the production run?
Discmania TD is my favorite understable control driver. I carry an s-line and a d-line. The s-line is for hyzer flips and power turnovers. The d-line is for standstills, big turnovers or rollers. I also like throwing both for forehand shots as well. The next step up from a TD is a p-line PD2...
They are quite similar for me. I threw star Xcals for a while when I bagged Destroyers as most of my Destroyers were not extremely beefy. Now I only bag PD2s for distance shots. I carry metal flake, luster, c-line, s-line and p-line. That is the order from most stable to least stable. For...
I've spent $22 multiple times on "Twelve Time" patent number Teebirds. I have 4 of them now including the beat up one that I'm bagging. I don't see myself spending anymore than $25 on a single disc as it will be thrown. Once I lose all of my collectible throwers I will move on to a newer run or...
