Saying your drivers require open space tells me you are throwing them on some serious curvy lines to compensate for not being able to throw them straight. That's a good sign that you're not using them properly and better off without them.
Tossing a Birdie 150' tells me you have the potential to...
My Proton Wave flips just like my Champ Sidewinder.
I'm still not super confident throwing hyzer flips in somewhat tight lanes. And confidence is a key ingredient. You're releasing a disc on a good hyzer. If it goes well, your disc goes where you want. If it doesn't go well, it's a disastrous...
I see some people curl their body a bit and dip in the middle of their throw in an attempt to get more power, but this causes the second half of the swing to undo the curl and they basically open up as if they're jumping up to surprise the disc and so the dip recovery is an upward motion and...
I have a modest stockpile of button batteries and LEDs and such, being that I collect watches as well as dabble in basic electronics (breadboard/arduino type junk).
I'd look into just making a bunch of LED Throwies, as people seem to call them. Literally just an LED diode taped to a button...
Sticking with a superlative take on what 'favorite' should mean, in this case a single disc....
My favorite disc is a first run Z Buzzz. It feels great in the hand, predictable, controllable, shapeable flight. I would use it if I ever played a 1-disc round (if I could get over the thought of...
My farthest throw ever was a forehanded hyzer flipped Pro Leopard. Was just experimenting with how much hyzer it could turn over from. Felt like the thing was darn near vertical, but was probably in the park of -45deg.
Welcome to the forum.
Bright orange and pink are easiest to find in general, though with a dense canopy it really comes down to how much light the disc can reflect. White discs reflect the most since they are white, and I think are affected the least in terms if visibility when in deep shadow.
If you like how the Teebird flies, and are intent on having faster discs, then I'd say look at speed 10-12 but ones that have -1 or -2 turn. Namely because they'll behave similar to the Teebird, but also because you're probably also going Champ plastic which tends to be on the overstable side of...
As others have said, improving the putting game.
But it's more than just making more putts. It's having the knowledge that you can reliably make comebackers, which emboldens you to take bigger risks in going for it instead of defaulting to a layup 2 outside the circle.
Interesting marketing move. Frankly it reminds me of ugly carpet underlay made from recycled bits since the appearance doesn't matter.
Maybe Discraft has a lot of plastic scrap bits to recycle.
Is it hard fade because the disc has a lot of height to it? Perhaps it isn't getting much spin on the launch?
Disc will fade as spin slows, and the higher it is when this happens, the more time and space it has to fade.
I'll be the contrarian and say that the muscle memory of launching a putter 300' (grip, release angle, aiming higher, whatever) can be detrimental to your in-game form, because that is not how you'll be launching the other discs at your disposal.
If you want to get better at something, practice...
Cost differences are irrelevant. Discs of any plastic last a loooooong time.
Even if you bought rare out-of-production discs at say, $40 a pop, you'd still be set to play the game with 2-3 discs that are still going to be cheaper than getting into many other sports, and those discs will still...
