Selfless promotion but,as it sits now on this site, my private 9 hole course is rated the best US course. I've played few other top rated 9er, ( Lambs creek, Brickyard, Skare, etc.) The Pond still reigns in my eyes, haven't hit Linbrook or any east coast stuff though.

Quad Cities, MI in general has really solid golf, the Cincinnati area all decent options.

Brown Deer!!! I feel its more challenging golf than Dretsk.

Ridge and silver creek is a good pairing that I'd chose mainly cause it's a quick run up 43 but, Zobel and Wilderness are a great pair too! Plus what you plan on hitting in the greater Milwaukee that's a pretty decent trip already.

I can usually blast through 9 holes at the Pond in about 25 minutes.
