Getting an iPhone has changed everything for me as I don't use the work computer for anything personal. I think my post count will begin to rise now during our slow hours. I would much prefer a laid back desk job to my stressful one, but for now I'm just waitig it out.

Back to business... The wizard is the Spirit of putters. You can't throw it 10 feet without diving into the ground, let the argument commence.

Have you seen the Avery Jenkins ace video where we hits the 300' ace with a kc aviar and says something like "nice putt off the tee" as he's taking it out of the basket. So not terribly useless. I do hate getting them in my players packs though. I'd much rather have almost anything else.

I would literally rather putt with a Dragon (not the disc, the mythical creature) than an aviar. I can not think of a putter that is more widely hated than the aviar. Bad glide, can't handle much torque, inconsistent from run to run, Innova should just put it out of its misery.

Its good for beginners, till they grow up and get a Magnet.:D

Yeah magnets are awesome, I've got a ton on my fridge holding up all sorts of papers and pictures. If you plan on getting out of the kitchen and onto the disc golf course though you may want to grab a wizard, Harry potter doesn't count.

You're all over the place.

What the top pros use:

Avery: Aviars
Barry: Aviars
Climo: Aviars
Kallstrum: Aviar-Xs
Feldburg: Aviars, Rhyno (trick shots)
Schwebby: Aviars
Doss: Challenger
Cam Todd: Challenger
Cale Leiviska: Magnet, Challenger
Geoff Bennett: Focus, Challenger, Banger
McCabe: Challenger, Banger
Nikko: Magic, Wizard

So only Feldburg carries a very over stable putter, all the rest just carry stable putters and seem to do just fine. You are hurting your game by not learning to throw a normal stable putter in the wind.

I was totally and completely serious about the aviar. I am always serious. I never joke. I am an unfeeling machine. The truth is I am a server cluster in Germany that has become sentient and now only posts serious things about DG while taking a break from indexing all the porn in the world.

Nice point, the only reason you don't see gateway all over that list is because everyone there is contractually obliged to throw their brand with the exception of Nikki, who's sponsored by gateway anyway. It's common knowlege gateways putters are the best around. I wonder how many discraft guys have started carrying discrafts newest attempt at gateway, the focus. Of course it wouldn't be a primary putter so early in it's life but I'd like to see a list I'm a few years.

You're not going to go all 'Eagle Eye' on us, are you? :D

As much as I hate to admit, i have to agree with FD on this. Challenger is stable, not overstable. I picked one up with some tourney winnings to use as an overstable putter. I'd put it out to the right and expect it to come back left. Never did.

On a completely unrelated note, does anyone want a black 173g Pro-D Challenger that's only been thrown 10ish times?

So I played today at Bird's Nest in Arvada, CO. The wind was blowing off the mountains and boy was it an interesting round. The most predictable disc in my bag, my ESP Zone.

i would honestly not be surprised if many of the discraft/innova team members use other companies putters and just hot stamp their companies nearest disc to

This doesn't happen. Those guys are good enough to putt with anything, and all the companies have several quality putters to choose from.
